There are several of us here in the GR(ish) area. I'm out in Caledonia which is south of you.

*raises hand* Me! I'm just north of GR, too. I just got my first chicks this spring and am having a lot of fun. The people here have been very helpful. Welcome to BYC!

Me also, I'm near Plainfield and 131! Welcome!

Send some of that rain this way. There was a brief, light shower and my chicks were out looking at the sky like "WTH"?
Now it's 10 minutes later and dry.

After doing volunteer work at MBG today, I shot up to TSC (US 23 and N. Terrritorial). Picked up some mealworm treats and other supplies. The Happy Hen Treats were $5.99 per 3.53 oz (100 gram) package. At Meijers (Westland), a Kaytee 7 oz. (198.4 gram) package was $7.49.

Check prices folks and tell others when you find a good price.

well, I wasn't sure about it all, but I guess I'll be safe then if I gather eggs daily and fridgerate them. I don't wanna get rid of my roos, I just like them so much. They are the happiest sound I hear all day. Big John certainly outcrows Opa now, I wonder if that means John is boss roo!! Big John will crow all day long, any time of the day, and he'll do it several times before he's finished, then silence for awhile. But you can hear him any time during the day. This morning I got out there at 6:05 a.m. to let them out cause he was being loud. hahaha. I love it but I don't want neighbors complaining. Not that t hey should, one of their labs is prowling my yard almost every night between 2 and 4 which makes all mine wake up and bark.
