Yesterday of friend of ours stopped by to pick up his share of the salmon my hubby and his group of friends that went went salmon fishing, anyways, he had his 2 year old and 14 year old with him. So my middle daughter was showing the little one the chickies in the back. So I went in the coup and got my shy little EE. She doesn't come out much. She is so friendly to me though. She was sitting on my arm and them bounced up to my shoulder and just sat down like it was home! She usually stands up there, but today she just sat like she was going to settle right in. So I had to walk up to the front of the house with a chicken on my shoulder. Something that is not common in our neighborhood....lol

Thank goodness she doesn't peck and is very gentle. She is actually quite loving with me. She did go after my earring, but she set her head on the top of mine and nibbled my hair! (Felt kinda good...lol) She rubbed her cheeck on mine too, it was kinda sweet.

I just hope she doesn't do it when no one is there to help get her off me, because she sits a little close and I can't reach my arms to get her off and back in the coup....lol

HaHa. Krisrose and I drove down your block trying to spy a chicken coop. Didn't see anything either. Thanks! Can't wait! It's been a long 8 mos of pain and not sleeping well. Looking forward to feeling better.

You can't see it from the road...lol (Got it kinda hidden....) Not sure if I can have it in this part of Davison. My address is 8185 Barden if you come back this way. Yellow ranch, green roof, almost to the other end, left hand side if you come from Irish Rd. Stop by next time

Lol, my address is 8195 Noblet. Krisrose loves "road trips" so we'll have to drive by again. First we have to go to 7/11 and get a slurpie!

I have a bad bad case of chickenitis. Waiting for these eggs to hatch is KILLING me..... I have under a week to go until lockdown. :: nervous twitch ::

I saw a thread where ppl are hatching chickies from grocery store bought fertile eggs. There is a health food store in my area that sells fertile eggs. I never would have thought to do that. If I had a much bigger spot of land I might try it for kicks and giggles.

Sounds like my kids! They love those slurpies, they drive me nuts when we drive by! My mom gets them all the time for them.

Holy fog this morning.

Made for a harry 50 mile drive to work this morning. Luckily only one person almost hit me today.

Morons passing people when you can only see 50 ft in front of you. Some people need their driver's license revoked.

Hi Nancy and Steve!!!
This year I have a hen who got infested with mites. I started to notice that when she got up she was real slow. On inspection she was loaded with the little devils! I usually have a hidden population of mites on someone since I have wild birds come in and out of their run. But I have never seen hundreds on one hen. She got a bath to kill the first batch and another a week later. Also has egg masses on her belly. Used poultry drench to help get her strengh back and she is slowly coming anound. Inspected the rest of the flock and two other hens had some mites but no one else.
Leg issues in my hens can also mean that they have something wrong in their belly, such as developing into an internal layer. I have also had problems with Maraks one year that showed up as lameness.
Also check feet for splinters !!

Thanks Kristen - later that night we took her out of the cage and extended the egg - she whipped her head around like it hurt - put her back in her cage, she jumped out before we could even get it closed! and ran around the garage like nothin had happened! kept her there till sun afternoon and gave her a little exercise in the garage and sure enough she seemed fine....had laid an egg and tossed it in her water dish....she's back out with her buddies now and feelin fine! whew! so are these mites large enough to see?? - miss seeing you two!

Theron -- That's great. Congrats on the Sebbie sales! Just let me know when you have the room and we can work out the details.

It's a reslult. The OP (Original Poster) is describing their reaction to something. They laughed out loud. You are free to laugh silently if you like or you can ROFL.... Not telling what that mean.
