Yorkchick-
Thank you again. Yep, It was a lonely ride home..and worse when I went out back once I got home. Havent had to go outside this morning yet, but did miss them muttering when I turned on the bathroom light. I know they are in a wonderful home and will live a wonderful life, so i have that to make me feel better. I miss them, and will miss them incredibly. I am shocked Penelope didnt eat like a pig- normally she is the first and last at the food dish. She didnt read the book that said grass was her main staple...haha..the feed you have is fine, plus all the extras that Olive Hill said. I always just used gamebird crumbles and told them the grass was free...and the shrubs, and the weeds, and etc...
The chickens had a party...no dodging geese at the food and water. Scattered all about out there yesterday evening. Then I worried more about them than I have had to because my "alarm system" is gone. The goosers are great at letting you know when someone or something is out there.
They are great geese and I am sure you will have much fun with them. Thank you again. I know they will be happy with you.
I have a terrible cold now. It will make for a long work day.
Stacykins-
Sorry you have to deal with deer carcass. poor deer. poor you moving it.
Chickwannabe- I would have guessed them to be pullet/cockerel...however I see someone says both pullets. Shows how much I know.
