No way!! You sure have bad luck with the roos! Sorry, I can't take him either.
It's beautiful outside. The sun is shinning, and it's warming up nicely. Enjoy the day!

Yeah, we do have the luck up ending up with roos. I am not going to get any other silkies again, unless I know for sure they are hens (like if they are already laying) So, I am going to call the guy that I got him from and see if he knows anyone that wants him. If he doesn't, I will have to find him a new home. He can't go to the farm. BUT, I have to wait for a week or so to do that, since we are going out of town.

They don't crow that loud... Their crows definetly do not carry like LF... If he's gotta go, he's gotta go. I saw some recipes for some asian soup, looked rather tastey. Is it the one I warned you might be a boy? Well anyway, if your silkie girl is going to be alone, you might want to keep him. It would really suck if your silkie girl is not well integrated before you give him away. She'll get lonely and depressed, maybe even a bit pissy at you. Roger did to me when I took his brother away. Would bite me every day first before he'd let me pick him up. Took him almost 2 weeks to get over it. Only now will he sit with the other silkie girls on the coop shelf at night and its been nearly several weeks. Just a warning is all.

Nah, just keep your pullet, but make sure she's well integrated first is all. If the guy you got them from will trade you a pullet for the roo, since you PURCHASED pullets... Make sure to look at the comb. If there is any development and its a few months old, boy... Get one thats a few months old with little or NO comb development. Preferable NON. My boys didn't get their combs real good till they were about 4 months, then the feathers were really starting to show. My girls are now 6 months and still have hardly nothing for combs. I will get a pic of Leila's face for you, so you will have an idea. Hope you can trade him for a her.

Maybe you can do a trade with the person you got him from?? Shelleyb has gotten pretty good at sexing silkies. Should be home tomorrow if you want to bring your kids by for a visit.

No, I can't trade with him. He only has his parents. He did tell me if one turned out to be a roo to call him. So I will when I get back from vacation, unless someone takes him for me. My mother-in-law is staying here when we are gone, so if someone emails me about my ad, they don't have to wait for me to get back.
