Man, it's cold, windy and gloomy.

Don't like it, I want SUN!! Can you imagine what it'll be like on Monday when it gets dark so very early??

I dislike winter so much. Don't think I'd mind it so much if it would stay light out till bout 7 or 8. It's the long dark nights that are so depressing.

With the time change upon us I do like the fact that it will be lighter out in the morning....not as early as I'd like but earlier. Dislike the fact about the whole thing because when I get home from work it's already dark.

Not much free ranging for my little flock. Guess I'll have to take advantage of the days I don't work & the weekends to make it up to them.

Grandma- I pm'd you back. I called Townline yesterday and the guy said he would have some around mid Feb. I'll check in with you around then and see how their doing.

Today was soup weather! The word going around now at the GRP is that it maybe a 4 day delivery, splitting the Sunday paper between Saturday and Sunday since the paper would otherwise be excessivley large. Huh... As long as I don't have my route taken away, I can make 4 days work, and find a part time for the other two days a week. I will be happy to keep 1 day completely off. We'll see.

Where is this Townline place? Is it far from Holland?

Well anyway, my SamFav seems to be laying more now than she was! She was doing a 3 on 1 off 2 on 1 off kind of pattern. She's been laying EVERYDAY for the last nearly 2 weeks. Probably longer but I have no Idea how long she was laying in the silkie coop before that, when it seemed she quit for a while... Like those nice little pinkish eggs.

My leggern has the bright red comb and its fallen over, but she's not laying yet either. I am wondering if she is laying out in the yard. I wouldn't know, cuz I have so many trees that I can not even see the grass! AND I just blew the leaves for the 3rd time yesterday! Then they got rained on. LOVELY! Will have to put started fluid in the pile just to get them to catch enough to get going and dry the wet part to burn. Thats always my favorite... Having a leaf pile burn for 3 days instead of 3 hours...

Kid has off tomorrow. What is he going to do with himself... I hope it doesn't rain. Then he can play outside...

Hi neighbors! Peeled out of school today to meet a chicken lady in Monroe. She had a lovely homestead with sheep & lots of chickens. A very nice lg coop set up. Picked up 3 9wk old golden comets. So happy to add to my 2 ISAs (after quarantine of course). They are so sweet. You're the only folks who will get how geeked I am

ps: for the record, I had squirrels/raccoons chew right through a rough made tote to get to bird seed.
