I would have loved to see your lemon blues.

too sweet! Our best broody is a white rock - 4 yrs old that we got from Townline! (via Soldan's) - this is the 2nd or 3rd batch of babes that she's either hatched out for us or been a surrogate mom to -

sooo sorry Muttsfan

Sad news, muttsfan.
That's why I dislike having a neighbor or friend around my animals. Their intentions are OK but they have no idea of the household dynamics.

Of course I could still be a little POed at my neighbor.

I am sure it was a weasel, thats the only thing that could have gotten into the chicken side of the coop - it is separated by a chicken wire wall. The head was gnawed off my little brown red, the others were just dead. Those were the only 3 I kept for breeding in the spring. Think I will spend some time today putting some hardware cloth up in the coop to prevent any varmint from getting in. since the coop door is usually closed at night, the wall inside was built more to keep chickens in than predators out.

Another nice day! I wish these would last. It's beautiful out there.

It seems like it's always the ones you really like/want that are lost first. Sorry about the cochins muttsfan.

Sad day in the Chicken Casa...
Coop TV has gone kaput. I have video but no audio.
I think the girls had the volume too high and blew out the speakers.

Haha, it isn't well known in the U.S. as a holiday, but totally in the UK, Canada, and Australia!

Edit: I was talking about Guy Fawkes Day, not hug a chicken day
