Hello. What a day. I just got back into town and put the kids to bed. My wife picked me up from work in Auburn Hills, and then I had to take her to Metro airport to catch a flight to Nebraska. Turned around and headed straight back home in the nasty rain. I thought I'd never get here. Glad to be home and check in with all my favorite chicken buddies!!!

Take it easy? How do I do that? I'm home alone with the kids for the weekend. They always keep me on my toes. I took a vacation day tomorrow so they don't have to go to daycare, and I can take my daughter to school and pick her up. I'm looking forward to it. Spending the day with the kids beats work anytime.

Thanks Cindy. I can never get enough time with my kids.

I'm feeling much better Cathy. Last weekend was the very worst of it. It might have been a little self induced. A dirty little secret I have is that I started smoking back around Thanksgiving '08. I am very ashamed of it, and my kids don't know because I refuse to do it around them. Think I would've learned the first time, I smoked for 7 years, then quit all together for my New Year's resolution 2000. It was over eight years, then slowly picked it up after hanging out with friends that smoked. That said, I may to have a "few" too many last Friday when out with the same friends. I woke up very sick the next day. Coincidence? So now I have the same pack as others here, and I'm NOT going to break it. It's been six days since I've had one......and I'm still here.

BTW - Guess what I'm doing right now...........................laundry. Shh...don't tell.

I won't tell on you.

I did a load of laundry, vacummed the living room and cleaned the downstairs bathroom. My wife wanted to get at her quilting and had to do cleaning first....so I helped her out. She cleaned the upstairs bathrooms and dusted.

Nice job Steve. I always believe in helping out and do my fair share here. I have no problem pulling my weight. If mama's happy, we're all happy. Your coop is looking awesome. If I could only end with one one day.......well, back to folding. CHEERS!

My sons are all grown now but the men they have become reminds that everyday I spent with them has brought rewards I would have never would have imagined.

Opa, I can only imagine the rewards. Life keeps getting better. It is great to know that the time I enjoy with them is benefiting them at the same time. It is amazing how much they can learn, and how fast!
