I am back after the busy wedding weekend.

My whole family and I seems a to be feeling some side-effects, like messed-up sleep patterns, headaches, etc.

But my brother's wedding was very nice, a lot of people like the turn-out. Now I have 7 sisters.

Welcome whoever I missed, and sorry for anyone who is going through a rough patch. Gotta go, and have a nice day.

Rbahmer - I hope you check out the product Snowflake recommended! Sometimes those home remedies really work!
And don't be discouraged, let's just pray for your friend. What is her name?
Hope others on here will pray also. Sometimes people live on with cancer for many years! MANY GREAT YEARS!

Bianca- so glad you joined us! I think Skylights in a chicken coop is a fantastic idea!

RBahmer.....prayers for your friend & her loved ones.

Hillbilly... Nice looking eggs and good size. I just love when we get double yolks, we all fight over who gets to eat them!!

Chickflick....congrats on the new egg!

Farmerboy.....that's a whole lot of sisters you have!! lol

5 eggs to start the morning....not bad, it's usually 3-4. We'll see what collection 2 brings.

I've also been keeping track as of the first of the year as to how many eggs I've gotten. I have always kept a daily tally but never recorded it to actually get a grand total. Will be interesting to see what the number is.

I found this at Goodwill the other day for $15. It's a medium size "chicken" crate

Now I don't have to borrow my little dog's crate when I need one for chickens

[still trying to figure out how I can get skylights in my coop]

I started just keeping track of the number of eggs on the calendar, but someone (I forget who) posted a picture of the eggs they sell that had the weight written on them. Since then, I've recorded the weight and date on the egg and on the computer. It's kind of fun to me, I like noodling with numbers.

To that end, I have a chart of daylight hours for my lat/long and want to see if there is a correlation of light to egg production. I suspect any relationship is merely coincidental.

My girls' production has been erratic so far (2, 2, 4, 4, 4, 1, 3, 4) this month and I attribute it to a couple of days of not getting them any greens or worms for treats (supplements). I'm also hoping that I can use the data for my bio-stats project this semester.

The semester starts tomorrow, so today is my last day of freedom.

I don't think it would be problem as long as they were dried well. If they were damp it might cause some mold.
