Well I've been sitting here for over an hour and no one has shown up. Some time later today big changes are supposed to happen on BYC. I'm curious as to how it will look and how easy it will be for this old rooster to adapt to the changes. I haven't even figured out how to use all of this version yet.

This weather has been nothing short of amazing. Yesterday I called my friend that I've been fishing the Huron River with and he answers the phone by saying "so were going fishing on Wednesday, right? Today I have to take Hope's stepdad to the doctor in Ann Arbor but when I get home I'm intend to load my equipment in the truck and hook the boat up so that tomorrow morning I can head for Flat Rock. We've been using Lance's boat so I rather anxious to use mine to see how it is going to work out.

Well another long day for me. I hope everyone has a nice day. I am excited to see what the changes to the site are.

I have a chicken that's behaving oddly.
My marans have always been shy and skittish, never getting too close but never pass up getting treats. Well, over the past few days I have noticed that one doesn't seem all that interested in treats or anything really. She will stand around, pick up a little scratch here and there, but overall is just kind of zoned out. She doesn't come running when I call, like the others do, and if I approach her she'll take off but stop as soon as I'm no longer near her. After she stops she just sits there.

This morning it seems that she didn't even want to leave the coop. She was standing on the ramp just outside the pop door while the others were out in the yard. I was able to walk into the run and pet her gently without her making much fuss or attempts to get away. I even picked her up and set her on the ground and she didn't seem to care, when normally she'd be squawking and trying to get free.

Her crop was full when I held checked her out and she doesn't feel like she's egg bound. She doesn't have any injuries and from watching her interact with the others she's somewhere in the middle of the pecking order. She still eats and drinks, just not as zealously as the other birds.

I just don't know what is going on with this chicken. Does anyone have any ideas as to why she would be acting so spaced out?

Hey, we're back! Look at that. I'm liking the quick reply feature and the cleaner, more modern design. Nice.

I hope everyone is doing well. Looks like today is our last day of nice weather for a while. They say the storm system that's coming in tomorrow is going to dump quite a bit of snow on a large portion of the state and bring colder temperatures with it.

Good Morning Michigan!

I knew this new format was coming...change is good, right? I hope it is easier to post pictures now.
DH and I have 13 days left prior to our leaving for Florida (for 3 months). I take the Chicken coop RV to my friends on the 20th....I think they will do fine. I am loving this weather and so is the flock!
I think I heard our whole state is getting hit tomorrow with snow and cold however. Yesterday we drove by "Fife Lake" and there was one fish/ice shanty out there. It did NOT look safe. Water on top of ice like it was spring. We saw 4 fishermen out there.

This new set up on ByC will take some time to adjust to but I'm sure it will go fine.

Well I like how they decorated the place. LOL My girls protested the site being down yesterday by knocking over their water bowl and handing over just one measly egg. :/

FarmerBoy, we used to raise pigs, back when we had kids to feed [not saying that the kids were pigs
