I just love it when a reply that is almost ready to submit disappears into cyberspace and I have to start over. ds

Raz, I'd be glad to add my numbers to your project but I will have to count my birds first. Since my computer crash and the lose of all my records I'm not really sure. Also the way my birds have been laying it may skew your findings.

double post so I'll just edit it to ask. Anyone want coffee?

According to the "spy window" I'm the only one up. Where are ya'll at?

*peeking through the window*

Where'd you go, Sam? I will take a coffee. Double cream, no sugar please.

Good Morning everyone!

RAZ-

I'd love to participate in your study..however, I was unaware that chickens actually laid eggs..

I have two silkies, one which is a Mama, three point-of-lay Polish fruitloops, A sizzle, a frizzle, and a silkie/cochin...

I also have a red heat lamp OUTSIDE the coop, under the lean-to, where Mama keeps her babies.

Just remembered that I needed to take the dumpster to the edge of the driveway. The township switched companies and that resulted in a different pickup day. After 32 years of having my garbage picked up on Mondays it is hard to remember when to take it out. Don't those companies realize us old guys don't like change.

It isn't as nasty outside as predicted but it is none to pleasant. I was supposed to go get a load of firewood for Hope's stepfather but I don't know that I want to pull a trailor today with how windy and icey it is. I'd like to tell him that he is SOL but that wouldn't be nice and might upset Hope. I guess his not laying enough wood by is just one syptom of his dementia.

With taking care of Granny, helping the elderly next door neighbor, another neighbor three houses away who is recently widowed, and now Hope's stepfather it sometime seems that most of my time is spent caring for old people and every snap crackle and pop my body makes reminds me I'm one of them.

Just shows how special you are, Sam.
AND- thanks to you, I can not eat Rice Krispies now without chuckling...

Want to come grab my dumpster and drag it out for me? Its cold out. And theres a dusting of snow. I have to beat the truck too..just hope it doesnt come before I get out there to care for the chickens before work.

Well, finally looks like winter out there. I sure hope it doesn't stick.

We got a few inches. Three? Four? I peeked out the window at five when DH went to work and it looked to be up over his ankles as he trudged through it. We'll know for sure at daybreak. Doesn't look like there are many closings in this area so the kids will be disappointed when I wake them up in a few minutes. Not one day off this year. At this point they ought to be able to back the end of the school year up by a week. LOL!

My seed order showed up in the mail yesterday and I'm always excited when it does, but it does nothing good for my overwhelming desire for spring. Just makes me all itchy to start planting.

I'm starting to get a handle on using this new format. I've found my uploaded photos and have even be able to create new albums so that I can sort my uploaded pictures for easier handling. The directions say I should be able to drag and drop pictures into another album but so far I haven't been able to do that, has any one else tried it yet?

Morning folks, about 5 inches here on the Lakeshore and more lake effect expected today. Snow Day for DD and call in as Muskegon Schools rarely close. They like keeping the tow trucks in business hauling buses out of the ditches I guess. Anywho coffee is ready that should help.

I haven't played with the photo area yet. I will have time today though. I am not looking forward to digging out chickens at daybreak.

Bummer note: I cant post from my kindle since the upgrade.

So much for not having school closings. Apparently the local news stations just can't bother to update their websites. Sent the kids out to wait for the bus and everything. Finally turned on the TV. Yeah, they're closed.
