Daron,
You did nothing wrong. U just keep on keepin on. I'll subdue my paranoia. I just had a semi-plan to post info about that picture and follow it up with others related and in sequence so as to lead the reader through the story of OUR CHICKIES. uR post was informative and entirely in order.

I am bummed. I went to take care of the duck coop, feed Aster and give her vitamins, and she was even worse. I had to take her out of the brooder box just to be able to get food to her head. Had to give her water to drink from a dropper and she still couldn't get it all. She did stop attacking me though. BUT while she was out of the broody box, she decided she wanted to try and walk, she couldn't she totally spazzed out, tipped over the waterer, crapped diareaha, was upside down with her feet in the air flapping all around. OMG, it was horrible. And then she started screaching. Since I just had another hen, Skeeter, go broody, I put Asters eggs under her and put Aster down. She may have been a mean little you know what, but she was still a good layer, and I have 2 of her egg being incubated by the broodies... I didn't make the decision lightly. I took into account that she was sitting on eggs, but how would she be able to take care of the babies when they hatched if she was still suffering wry neck? SO, I hope I did make the right decision... My neighbor even took a look at her, and he could not believe that her head was upside down. Said he had never seen such a thing. Well, now he has.

Enjoy EE heaven Aster.

Grandma I hope you are planning on a trip to Chickenstock too!

Stacykins I agree with Olive too, lots of stress for little ones on a long trip like that. If they are a little older and are used to being hauled around, they might tolerate it better.

We didn't get much snow, just a couple inches, still not enough to break out the tractor with snowblower. It has finally gotten colder, good for ice fishing! Plan on going this weekend to try to hook up with some nice fat perch.

Thank you - I am very unsure because of our travel plans but I would love to be there at Chickenstock! It is a definite maybe.

I repaired the coop (garage) window this afternoon.
I had to go get some materials to do the work: I wasn't exactly slow in getting the chore done; I wasn't really that speedy in doing the work. I guess you could say I was kind of half-fast.
