Im rather worried about my chick.
It has the worst balance! It cannot stand on my computer desk- I have to put it on a towel or blanket. Its a little slippery so thats okay- even though its friend did fine on it.
It is a wobbly chicken- could be because those feet are SOOOOOOOOOOOOO big it cannot figure out how to use them, i suppose.
But I have it on pine shavings- and I think it should not be wobbly. It has a wide stance and huge five-toed feet. It reminds me of a meat-chicken. Doesnt move around much- but she/it does like to be at whatever end of the cage I am closest to- manages to move that much, anyhow.![]()

oh yeah! My ducks are shivering... Like really shivering, I am thinking heat lamp in the winter enclosure?
I don't think is a chicken.... Lol. Its mutated. Don't pass out next to it.![]()
Nova-
Everyone here will tell you that your ducks dont need it because they are wearing down- coats. lol.
I add heat because I AM A WIMP- and if I am cold, everything must be cold. But, as long as the ducks have shelter from the wind and rain and snow and ice if they choose to, they should be fine. I couldnt handle the idea of bare feet standing on snow and ice- but they always chose to do that instead of coming in where it was clean and dry. (AND WARM- because as I said, I am a whimp!)
ANNND My velociraptor is pretty cute once you get used to it. lol
