Oh them are Alpaca's . Now I'm really jealous. I want one to put with my sheep. I only had llama's not alpaca's.

Yep, Alpacas. The white one is a Suri; the brown is a Huacaya. If you're patient for a year or so I'm sure we could make you a deal on these two. I doubt the kids will remain interested for too long. And when they decide to show something else they'll have to sell these guys to make room and earn money towards their next purchase.

Sure I can wait. I have waited for several years now as it is LOL. I want fixed males to have with my sheep. Thank you.

Oh goodness! No, thank you! It takes so much weight off my shoulders knowing there is a good home available for them once the kids want to try something else.

Hello everyone! I am a new user from the Detroit suburb of Ferndale. Until the beginning of this year, chicken coops couldn't be built in our back yards due to lot size, but an amendment to the ordinance banning coops was approved unanimously by the city council. So now I get to plan and build my very first coop and then I have to look for some little cuties to get myself started! I am very excited to be a part of this online community as well as the community of chicken growers in Michigan. I look forward to learning and sharing my experience with you all!

Regards,
Luke

Welcome to the MI thread, Luke! So glad to have you, especially another rooster! Everyone here is very willing to help and answer any questions you may have. Good luck with your new urban farm!

Thought I'd post this picture for those that have had questions about geese and hay. This is 95% of their winter diet.

*Sorry about image quality, it was taken with my phone.
Thanks for the picture Olive! When I get my goslings, I will keep them in the cow shed, and raise them with the calves.

Hey, y'all! Hope you area all well. We're getting snow near Flint. Sigh. I KNEW winter would be here at SOME point!!

I wanted to check in & see if any of you have kept in touch with member Steve. That is (was?) his user ID - super nice man!! We bought a pig from him (not a live one, a butchered one, already in pieces, ready for the freezer) and have been wanting to get another one, but he's not answering my

e-mails.

Or, do any of you all sell them, or know anyone that does that might be close/near Flint?
