Chicks and ducks hatching and lambs arriving..you all are making me so jealous! Believe it or not, I'm very tempted to go out to the coop and find a girl with even a hint of broody and set her up with some eggs. Probably wouldn't work, but I'm so tempted to try. LOL.

Congrats on all the new additions. Love the pics.

Teeville, come over to the dark side and join the Easter hatch - it is a riot, lots of posts, and great prizes. Some prizes for those not participating in the actual hatching action, too. See my sig line - come on, you know you want to

On Valentine's Day tommorow I am going to deliver some homemade soaps to a retirement home. Then I will drop off a cute mug for coffee to a single/never married lady from our church and after dinner I will take a fondue pot full of chocolate over to the group home that my cousin is in and I will cut up bananas and apples for the 12 middle aged ladies who live there to dip in the fondue pot!

Valentine's Day is a great day to reach out to the many Seniors, Widows and Widowers, Disabled and Never Married folks who need a kind gesture. It is also a wonderful day to give children Valentines or chocolate roses! Valentine's Day is not just for couples! Seize the opportunity to spread some love! Bring some baked good to your closest nursing home tomorrow! You will feel GREAT!

I like your thinking!!

I recieved a text message yesterday morning that my chicks had been shipped. Recieved a phone call at 6pm from the USPS distribution center in Gaylord. "Your chicks are here would you like to come and pick them up, or I could ask the driver to keep them in his cab but he does have several stops before your post office tomorrow?" We took the 1 and 1/2 hr drive and got 28 very alive and chattery chicks. I am so impressed right now with the USPS. After hearing horror stories on people recieving dead chicks I was so worried. Only thing is now I have 27. I dropped a naked neck turken and my jack russell was to fast for me

Sorry you lost one but it is wonderful that you have the others! Congrats!

Isn't it exciting???!!!

Happy to see all pics and read all the chatter. The Michigan Thread was busy as usual.

I'm so happy....my DD's trainer got a new chicken to keep her other one company. She original had 3 but 2 died this fall....I think it was an age thing. I don't know what type it is because I didn't get to see it, it was late, dark & I needed to get home. She doesn't know what type it is..... All she could tell me is that it was Black...lol.
