honey sounds really good, we expect pics when the ducks come,of course

WOW !....all those chicks. cut some pussy willows and bring them in the house, my friend would not add water so they would dry, or add water and let them root.

Jen pics of chicks and daughter are so cute..

Okay, so I read that with a comma...as in Honey, sounds really good... and then I read whomever said- is RaZ bringing honey or did you say he IS a honey...and I said, "she said he is a honey"..hahahahaha...RaZ get out of my brain.

Cool idea about the pussy willow branches. Wonder if I could get them to root. Wonder if I could do that AND get my cats to leave them alone while they are in the house...

Be careful of Jen- she has evil hypnotic powers and controls my thoughts and mind and you just cant trust her..if you don't believe me just you wait until she starts posting chick and bunny pictures...

My broody is not cooperating. She left the nest and moved to yet another nest box. I think I will have to cage her in. So tomorrow I guess I try with new eggs.

Aww. what kinds of birds do you have that are doing the picking? I would not separate roosters if you are lucky enough to have some that get along. I did that, and that was George the roo, who ended up having to take the long walk......
The ones I have currently seen are a Production Red and my Cuckoo Maran. There is also one Polish who picks at everyone. Last winter I think it was a protein thing and eating feather, no so this year as only Al is being picked on at this point.

Of course I am a Honey, that's why all the chicks love me.

Pussy willows, like most willows (Salix sp.) are easy to root. You can root them in a vase of water or I like to wrap the cut stem in paper towel and just keep it moist. If anyone wants a golden willow tree, let me know and I'll root some cuttings for ya.

Where do you guys get all of those cool graphics?

Anywho, I'm off to move a goose house. Wish us luck, it's pretty windy here and I have a image of the flying house from the Wizard of Oz.
No flying houses. No flying monkeys, either. Gooser Villa is now added on to Gooser Jail. RaZ is one of those super handy types who just knows how to manage stuff. So, this thing is basically a huge dog house that weighs A LOT. RaZ and Craig, the guy giving it away, managed to maneuver this thing onto RaZ's trailer with a minimum of trauma considering how massive the thing is. (Where was I during this? Well, trying to be useful with my best shoving strength, but not sure if I actually made a difference :p ) Then Raz got the whole thing strapped down tight, with a tarp over it, and off we went (after a short break in which sweet-talking to a pack of beagles occurred). RaZ would have to say how the drive was for him, as I had driven separately, but nothing flew off and he was able to keep up a pretty good pace, considering. Then with assistance from my DH the monstrous thing got unloaded and turned into position just as if those involved had not only muscles but mechanical and spacial reasoning abilities. (Again, a minor assist from me with the muscles and none at all with the reasoning... :( ). Pictures to follow. Maybe. If I can figure that stuff out again. And RaZ, thanks again! And, errrr, let me know if you need some assistance with chiropractor bills or anything...

No way!
Penelope did nibble my fingers though and I groped Norma, but just a little.
True story. But I did grope Maude first. So I can hardly accuse RaZ of corrupting my chickens. After Raz left, my DH reached down and petted Penelope a little bit. Then Henry took hold of DH's pants leg and shook it! I said, "Raise your arms, be the bigger goose!" DH did and Henry immediately backed down. But I wonder if Henry's spring hormones are kicking in. Henry hasn't done anything like that here before. And I wonder if Penelope might be trying to decide which gander she likes better... LOL.
