Well, I lost the my multi-quote reply a few minutes ago when my computer decided to freeze up on me. Was able to pull up my start screen to turn it off and reboot. I'm not going to go back to find what I wanted to reply to so I'll just try to remember and go from there.

Nova- I got a laugh out of your bfe post. I'm very familiar with your area and have shopped at those stores so I understand your thinking. Besides, your not in bfe unless your at least 5 miles from a Meijer store.

RBahmer- congrats on all your little ones. The black/white one in your avatar is so cute.

RIR- cute little boy. As for the hat, we are a house divided so we have claimed a Switzerland-like neutral status so it's all good.
GO BLUE!

Stacykins-cute little chickies and ducks. DH really liked the all black chick and got a kick out of your 'duck pond'
Raz- I'm not much of a cake fan either, but I will eat a little piece on birthdays. Never coconut, though.
Mom2- we had a furnace issue last year. We had to wait it out a day, too. Why do these things always happen on weekends? Anyway, me and the kids were huddled in my room under the blankets with a heater, too, that I turned off when we were ready to sleep. But, wow, a melted plug that scorched the wall behind your curtains! That had to been a frantic moment for you. Please be careful as you try to stay warm tonight. As fuzzybutt said, we like you here.
I live in BFE then lol. I always call it the east wing of the asylum. I have LOTS of black and white ones this year.

I want to see pictures of the lambs!

No, I NEED to see pictures of the lambs..

PLEASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSEEEEE.

I need to live where I can have what I want.

Sheep surfing. I did it. :)

In school, we had to "sit" sheep for restraint. We had to demonstrate that we had learned this skill. Well, No problem. Piece of cake. I stood over top of my sheep and reached down to pick up her front legs, her back to me and she took off. I was on her back, hanging on to her front legs for dear life, my legs flailing behind my like a superhero cape on her back... She was going to run me right into the wall. We ran right behind my instructor, and my classmates were like

and I knew at that moment there would be worse things than hitting a wall.

In retrospect, it was a ton of fun..I seriously believe everyone should sheep surf at least once in their life.

IT WAS FIFTY FOUR degrees in my house when I couldn't take it anymore and got up. FIFTY FOUR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That might be balmy to some, but definitely not for me. I am so thankful that I am not homeless....or an Eskimo.
It is warmer than that in my coop.

When my husband emerges from his cocoon, I will tell him in no uncertain terms that I love this parrot as much as one of my children. If he gets sick, I WILL fore-go all bill paying- meaning cellphones, cable, Internet, car insurance...whatever is needed to get him well. The furnace MUST be fixed by a PROFESSIONAL today. TODAY. Not next week. Not by him saying "I can probably get the part."
I'm about to take a shower and I might as well go jump into a swimming pool. I plan on freezing to death the moment my shower is over.

Thanks for worrying about me. I am going to be much more worried about my parrot while I am work than anything else. Everything else in my house can cuddle, huddle, or hide under something warm. My kids stayed at friends houses. If they are smart, they wont be in a hurry to come home.

LOL. Ok, maybe Robin needs to institute an bottle feeder adoption program. My one opposing neighbor told me that she could would put up with my goat(s) but I can only get two. (I'm not getting any but it's nice to know that she's in my favor now).

I did find an angora rabbit! His name is Clark. He came from a breeder who kept him clipped so he's not all blown out. His nails were sharp as needles and he did a number on my hands attempting to escape my curious rescue who constantly what to have her cold nose in his face. So now I know he can jump his big butt from the floor to my lap to my shoulder lickity slit. He got a prompt nail clipping.

He is much bigger than he looks in the picture. I didn't think I would have to buy another crate but it looks like I will. He is roughly the size of my bichons and he will look bigger once in full coat. The reaction from my three dogs when I brought Clark in was priceless:

Nala (Mutt - The Rescue) - OooOOooo...is this for ME? *sniff sniff*....a TREAT? *licks bunny* (

I gotta work on that)
Wendell (Bichon - The Destroyer) - Another DOG!

Diva (Bichon - The Spoiled Brat) - WTH Mom! Your lap is MINE *paces and whines"

Here is Mr. Clark

There's nothing cuter than a Jersey cows face! One of the few animals that are cute born, and stay cute!! Have fun with her!!

RBahmer, I love bottle feeding lambs, I'm sure it's a chore when you have to do it allot though. I'd help if we weren't 2 hrs away!

I picked up my turkeys yesterday. The turkeys scared the crap out of the chickens though... the turkeys made themselves at home in their coop
last night and this morning, all the chickens were piled on top of each other on one side of the coop. I'll be making a different shelter for the turkeys this summer.

Opa, I could have slept a bit longer too.. especially after spending Saturday partying in Ann Arbor with my girlfriend! Had the yummiest fried brie and bread at O'coners and some fun music at the Martini! I keep reminding myself the hard way, that I'm not as young as I used to be!

I'm so excited this week, I'll be going to the Filmore for a Korn concert Thursday night (reminding myself again how old I am with general admission tickets) and after this.......... things have to quiet back down so we can focused on projects we need to get finished at home.

Do any of you use cold frames or start seeds outside under plastic? We drove by a farm yesterday that looked like they had a good start on a bunch of plants under rows of plastic. I was thinking about trying to get my garden out sooner this year I usually don't start seeds inside. What do you usually start inside and when?

I spoke with Raz today about some apple wood for his smoker. I believe all of us need to pray for him as I believe from our conversation that he is ill. Can you believe doesn't like coconut cake? The boy must be sick.
LOVE coconut. I have coconut oil that I cook the chickens eggs in, it is supposed to be an anti-bacterial. ,,I am not real fond of cake but don't dislike it. would rather have fruit pi or crisp, Ice cream

Stacykins your chicks and ducks are cuties.
Opa I will take anything Raz won't eat

Went ice fishing this weekend and ended up around 80 posts behind, and 200 post behind on the easter hatch thread. Maybe I should consider giving up BYC for Lent.
I am with Nova , it would be a very good test of determination, but you would never catch up after 6 weeks. A plus side thought you would miss all the temptation of new chicks, ducks, lambs, and bunnies.
