It didn't dawn on me earlier why the kids kept running to me and asking for jobs to do to earn money, until I'm sitting here waiting for DH to get home so we can run to TSC. Those little stinkers know it's Chick Days!

Smart kids you have there! I over heard mine a couple of days of ago discussing going to TSC and maybe talking mom into a rabbit if they have bunnies!!

my idiot son left the darn door to the garage open again.. Dogs got out. Everyone is scattered in the thunderstorm. Great. Just darn freaking great. I am going to glue his head to the door until he remembers to shut it. I hope I am not missing anyone.

Well, I've got no idea how many posts there are to read since my power went out about 10:08 last night and came back on today at 1:28, but the pups want yet another walk so I'll have to check later.

Making the trip to TSC with the whole family this afternoon. Have a 15% off coupon so going to get a few things to be ready for when our chicks arrive. Hopefully having H with me will keep me and the boys from bringing any chicks home with us today.

Correction - there is over 18 inches out there.  It was a workout just to walk to the coop and back.  I had to shovel out the coop door just to get in - it was half way up the door.  NOT a big snow fan and NOT looking forward to shoveling.  However, thankfully we didn't  get the worst of the snow.  And as much as I hate snow I'll take it over the tornadoes.

Since taprock live about 10 miles south of me, I am happier than ever to be in South Florida.

Rbahmer, lavender chicks are a pretty shiny pale silver color right from the beginning.

Well, we got in and out of TSC without incident. Only because it's so darn cold today though. I didn't want to be outside messing around with setting up the brooder. They had leghorns. Usually they don't get them in here and I've been wanting to try a few out for the past couple years -- but never badly enough to order a whole batch. We'll definitely be going back once it warms up next week.
