Got up this morning and discovered that I have a pulse. It appears that God has once again taken care of the important requirement for a good day so now the rest of it is up to me. I feel bad for the people who can't understand that the primary requirement for having a good day is attitude. While today is still a little on the brisk side it still is going to be a wonderful day and the next week it is going to be nothing short of glorious. Temperatures in the upper 40s and 50s, how could we want more.

Well Ive been in labor- in my upper right side, for five months..little more intense now this past two weeks..but still...

like I said..I have to somehow cover my shifts then I can have surgery. My daughters birthday is on the 26th, so that week wont work..when is Easter?
Cant do that week either.

Im gonna tell them, suck out the extra fat, throw in a hysterectomy,,,take the gall bladder...do a tummy tuck..might as well do it all while they got me under..cuz I am not coming back, lol...

Hope you both get your surgeries before it gets any worse.Easter is April 8 so if you have it done the week after your daughters B-day you would be all better by Easter

Nova love the pic of the chick, looks like a litter milk cow (kinda)

I know some of you raise naked neck chickens or variations. You might want to consider taking it to a whole new level. In Israel they developed a chicken that has no feathers.

Opa - That chicken looks sunburnt. OUCH!

Good Morning all. I've been to FFH 3 times this weekend and resisted chicks. Actually, yesterday they were out of everything but Jumbo Cornish. I think we are going to try a couple of those to see if we like them (well see if my DH likes them....I haven't eaten chicken since I was 15). If we do, then we are going to do more for us and the family.

It's going to be warm this week. Which means cleaning out the coop and setting up the incubator! Hopefully the girls will start laying better soon. One of the FBCM's has a nice red comb so I am expecting a little dark egg from her soon.

Mom2 - Somehow I think your family would understand if you were laid up on a holiday or birthday. I'm sure they care more about your health than one day of the year. I hope both you and Nova can get it taken care of soon.

Well, the sun is out. Maybe we'll have another beautiful day despite the temps. Such a simple thing, but I'm really looking forward to the 60 degrees they're forecasting on Sunday so I can have the day to throw open the windows and doors and get some spring cleaning done.

I've also managed to leave TSC without chicks... luckily it's because they don't have what I want.

I had a great weekend. Met friends sat night, laughed a lot which is always good! Sunday put up 10 rabbits and canned 1/2 of them. Canned rabbit is very tender and tasty!

I suppose naked chickens would be great come processing time.. but.. can you imagine the sunscreen you'd go through in the summer... and the winter coats they'd need for winter.

High maintenance birds right there!

My Bella has surgery this morning. Shes had leg problems since she was little (she was the runt). Her hips are great, but her knees developed arthritis early on, she cannot sit. Before she was a yr old, she had both her cruciate ligaments pulled. We had surgery done on one, the other healed on it's own. Well, the "fixed" leg has become a problem for her, so today she's having it reversed.
