Anyone wanting to hatch some bantams I would be glad to give them eggs. I have Vorwerks, Spangled Hamburg, and Blue Orpingtons. You just have to come to Howell to get them. Let me know at least a week in advance so I can save them.

Very jealous of the goats. All of our barn savings just went for a car. So we start looking for things to sell, I hues

Spent the day with chickens putting a divider back up so I can start separating birds into breeding pens. Have a good night all.

Had do do a little bit of duck wrangling today in order to get the mallards to a spot where they can find a warm spot under the tent. That occurred well after I opened the back side of the tent. But it took less than 5 minutes for the chickens to find the opening.

The Not-s-Uggos were a bit slower in finding the opening.

But they still found the hole while I was working on getting things in order...

Whew. ate cake, went out to the property and worked on cleaning up various projects. getting there! took some nice pics of my plants, then covered them up. Everyone keeps telling me it won't freeze here till wednesday, but not taking any chances...... Banty still sitting tight on her eggs! yay! had to put my roo in rooster jail again, won't quit being mean to one particular hen. sooo..... also getting too big for his britches and attacking my DH, so had to seperate him from the hens. Don't help there are roos running all over out there with no hens.... NOT mine either. :( God smiled on us though, yesterday, and we actually found a small free generator on the side of the road in someone's trash! (Nope, no shame, i tell you) anyway, thing runs great, just don't put out power to the plug, so we are thinking it is a wiring issue mabie. DH's dad will know just what to do! Now that solves our problem of sharing electric, and we can plug the well pump into this when we water our garden! (No more outrageous electric usage claims!!!)

This is the wild bunny i've been wooing, was very patient with me and my fumbling and scrinching around trying to get a nice shot, close up of my foxgloves and bleeding heart,

What's left of my green rose, but joy o joy it is making new buds!!!! my very happy big rose, which is coming on it's second summer, and i just wanted to show this last one cause it is a good setup for little ducklings.

the roses i put back into the camper with the chickens, where they will still get light. really hoping i didn't shock the little one by moving it again, but i think it was time for it to get out of the shade, in some nice soft light anyway.......? Won't that help with growing those buds out?

This is obviously the right choice.

I figured there are plenty of rabbit shows...why not skip one and hang out with my chicken friends! Here's a picture of the chicks tonight...the BR chicks keep perching on the water jug and poopin' everywhere...silly chickies.

The showgirl silkies have 5 toes and tonight two of them were standing right next to each other and got thier toes stuck together and were floppin' all over trying to get unstuck (for just a few seconds) LOL it was so funny. :)
