I have a fool proof method of tear-free onion chopping: I make The Man do it. Hahaha!

running the cold water over your hands before and a litte during the cutting of the onions will also stop the funky smell from sticking to your hands. It's the only thing i know of that will, i love (cooked) onions, the smell that seems to last for days, notsomuch.

Quote: Are you kidding? I loved baling hay. Some of my most favourite memories when I was young (and able).
I baled hay for a farmer last year, and loved it too, but not the heat! I went to get some hay and straw from that hay farmer today for the heifer, and while getting hay from him, he said that he wants me to work for him again! :woot For sure I have 3 part time jobs in the summer! Working at the dairy farm(my current job), picking strawberries and raspberries at the berry farm, and baling hay at the hay farm! Plus our family garden/yard work to tend to, my flock, and the new cow! Yep, my summer will be busy! :D Ok, my family and I have narrowed down to two names for the heifer- Bella or Bessie. That is me giving her a back scratch. I am 5' 8 1/2'' tall, so she is not a very big heifer. One of my 5 sisters.

Hey, hey, hey. I'm only kidding. That's what brothers do.

Bella is a good name, it means "beautiful" in Italian.

Those are two excellent name choices! I can't choose which I like best.

I finally named all of my chicks! My two barred rock chicks are Hen Solo and Pearl. My two red pullets are Goldie and C-bird. (My 3 year old son named C-bird lol) and my two black sex links are Dingle and Penny. :) I go bonkers over all of the animals I welcome into my family, so I can easily tell them all apart and I feel like all of their names fit each of them perfectly.

Nova-

I ate Chines yesterday, buffet style. SOMETHING I ate I am no longer allowed to eat. Unfortunately, I dont know which of my choices it was. I thought for sure it was a heart attack, except for the fact that my stomach was bloated so large.
This is WITHOUT a gallbladder.
Darn shame that I dont know what did it. I didnt eat anything I havent eaten before- but the pain put me in tears at the table. My family was concerned because I seriously seriously was hurting and waiting for my stomach to actually explode.

How does this happen when one no longer has a gallbladder to have stones?

I can finally drink coffee again. Couldnt for awhile there- and according to my doctor, non gallbladder related, I should not be drinking coffee. He doesnt understand the necessity.

This morning it is Blond, Willow variety I believe its called, from Starbucks.
