It has been a long day. After work, I had to run my son into G.R. to get fitted for a tux for prom next week. I honestly don't think I should be old enough to have a kid going to prom yet. Good grief, make that 2. My daughter is going, too. Dress shopping tomorrow and she has a list a mile long.

DH decided to give Boomer and Bayley (the goats) some friends today and put Neil and a lady in with them. They pretty much ignored each other all day.

That is NOT a shirt buttoned to the wall...hahahahahaha...that is an old TARP that was NAILED to the fence- with those nifty nails that have red caps on them...and HENRY GOOSE thought it needed to be redecorated...so he tried the shred technique,,,,,,

Will you still want him when his pink-dye wears off his feathers????

HOWEVER....you have given me a great idea...RARE Flamongo Hybrids...crossed with Ground Parrots...Limited Time offer...

HURRY BEFORE YOU MISS YOUR EXCLUSIVE CHANCE TO OWN ONE OF THESE MAGNIFICANT EXTREMELY RARE CREATIONS,,,,

Sure looks like a shirt to me.

Oh, it's a HIM? Of course it's a him, you don't have anything else!!

No, thanks, I'll pass. I have enough roosters now.

So riddle me this...
I worked outside all day: mowing; weeding; planting; etc.
I fed and watered the birds. I gathered eggs and cleaned up poo.
Did laundry and washed dishes.

So why are the dogs passed out and snoring?

OF COURSE its a HIM...did you see that comb? Do you mean to tell me that some people actually hatch out SHEs????? Tell me how. Really. Toes is all we can handle. He is enough illegal roo...

Maybe Henry Goose is actually a seamstress goose...see how good he made a shirt out of a tarp? lol.
What do you call a male seamstress? A streamster? (spell check doesnt think so,.)

UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
I have a lame little Showgirl. My microshowgirl. Of course I do. Can I blame it on this brooder thingy by Brinsea that replaces the heat lamp that I cant recall the name of? They scootch under it for warmth instead of going under the heat lamp..well, I just took a look and said- HEY, all the rest of you are rather too big now for it to be on the lowest level...I need to raise it up one. When I lifted it up, out hobbles my little micro-showgirl...with one leg sticking straight out the side..

Then I tried to bandaid them together...bad. It fell over on its side, unable to walk. So, I snipped off the bandaid...I think I accidentally cut its little tummy with the tip of my suture scissors

Anyhow, I put it back in with the others. It is getting around wobble-hobbly but I know the outcome.

darn it.

I planted a white pine today...did I already tell you this?
Its only hip high so I probably wont live long enough to see it be a big pine.

I am getting a Japanese maple, as well...cute little feathery decorative tree..

If I cant have grass, I shall have a forest.

Goes with my Jurassic park chickens.

No worries there Laura! I remember when I first got on this MI thread and you mentioned you found me a Lionhead (and was looking for some Sicilian Buttercups), anyway, I was just kidding about you taking a bunny, however, some of the FG's may be bigger than your dog, lol! Some dogs and FG's make great buddies. I remember someone on here has the two togther in their house.

My Golden Retriever was just a pup when that FG we had showed up in our yard on Good Friday...I first saw my Golden come running as fast as his little pup legs would carry him, tail tucked ...and then, from behind the garage, out hopped this HUGE rabbit...

My Golden kept his distance from that day on...heh heh heh....

Are you comparing the tree to your hip? If so it's probably a black and/or blue pine.

I don't mean to make fun of your recent pain...oh, wait, perhaps I do.

Um, you do know that I'm just poking some fun?

I wish people would not keep breeding birds. I have rehomed so many. I also wish each person who sold or adopted a bird out to someone would help deliver the bird and set up the cage properly. So many newbies injure birds without meaning to. For example, don't set up the cage near the kitchen (teflon fumes are fatal to birds). And I transport birds in a large grocery bag stapled shut. That way they don't injure themselves in the move. Most people don't realize how sensitive birds are to draft and temperature changes. So when I have rehomed a bird, I help the new owners set the bird up in a large cage in a sun/draft free place that has a consistant temperature.
So true, grandma. I used to be friends with a gal who owned a bird store, and i would watch the bird buyers. A lot of them clearly had no idea what they were doing, a lot of people didn't even know they had to buy grit! Or that birds are a group critter and get lonely when alone.

NovaAman I can call the guy in Muskegon and see if he has any Faverolle chicks too and stuff them under her... BUT, I only want girls... He's a strait run guy...
aren't boy and girl fav's able to be sexed by plumage? He is the one who taught me the wing feather sexing, so if you are willing to pay a bit more he may do it for you, if you talk to him. He seems to be willing to go the extra bit for people who are serious birders. Otherwise, i think TSC is going for another couple weeks, and today everything at mine was half off! even the turkeys! Might wanna take a peek, someone said the one in Muskegon had a sale today also. Birds were selling fast at mine this evening.
