i will be at the Imlay City Fair 4H auction. (not selling...watching)

went to the Imlay fair. it was okay and my kids had fun...

what is up with this crazy weather!!!

also, my awesome hubby said if we cannot find somewhere to have a Flint area chickenstock...we can have it here at my house. it's not fancy and we are rather plain, but i have a nice sized lawn and lots of shade and an indoor restroom!!!!

i am thinking fall? what say all ye Thumb and Southeastern Michiganders? if you all want it, i shall set a date...

We went out to the Genesee county fair last night I was a little dissapointed though no where near as many animals as previous years

and none of the chickens I was looking for either but hubby found a few he liked the looks of! Found 2 pairs of ducks I like though but this year no prices on any animals have to wait for the livestock auction later in the week I hope they don't go for too much so I can afford to get at least one pair for now

Oh well if it is meant to be I will be able to get them.

And I already started a jar for gas money so I can come for chickenstock- just not around oct 11 -14 (11 is my bday and 14 is our anniv) if possible

It would be great to put faces to names and meet some more people in person

i will find out what she's got when they hatch. i can throw them in the brooder and keep them here and see what we get (drakes vs. ducks)...hey maybe they will be ready by chickenstock! (would that make it fowlstock?)

Hi everyone, I am just starting out with chickens. I really enjoy it. I spend more time with them then I do with my DH. LOL. I have 4Buff Orpingtons I call the Golden girls, 1 Light Brahma(Squirelly Shirley), 1Barred Rock(Little Bit)1Spashed Cochin(Freckles), 1Sexlink (Izzy),1Australorp(Lizzy),1White Silkie(Sophie), 1 Old English Silver Duckwing(Fritz) and 1Old English (Judy). Oh they are all different. They are all pullets except for Fritz. I am having a big problem with all my pullets picking on Judy and I don't think they are going to stop. I live in Mesick, MI. That is in between Cadillac and Traverse City, MI. I am going to give Judy up to a good home, so if anyone out there needs a nice little Old english pullet just let me know. You will need to pick her up. I will send you pictures if you would like. She is about 5 weeks old the same as my others. I have had to keep her seperated because they will not except her. I am sad. I do love all my chickens.
