Occasionally I will post something that a few people agree with. I would be willing to bet that they feel that way because I wear cowboy boots that are older than Juise.

To be honest, for me, the fact that you wear cowboy boots dilutes things somewhat. Those things are uncomfy and useless. Give me a pair of muck boots or just go barefoot instead.

Shoes are like tools, you should have the right one for the job.
Using the aerator or log splitter requires steel toed boots. Wet trails, water proof boots. Riding the iron horse, I wear cowboys boots. They are quite comfortable.

Last year in my Aquatics Plant class, we were in streams and swamps everyday. The other kids wore waders and nearly everyone had problems like flooding or muck pulling off their hip boots. I wore good water sandals and just waded in everyplace without a care in the world.

ETA and for biosecurity, a cheap pair of slip ons that I can kick off before coming into the house from the coop.

Hello everyone,
I'm in Southeast MI, close to Toledo. Completely new to chickens here. I have 8 RIR that are about 3 weeks old. I have a great husband, 4 boys, 1 barn cat called Cat and a great dane Gabby.

Welcome Jendear. Great thread to be a member of. Hope you have lots of time on your hands. Everybody on here is pretty chatty, but very friendly and great help. I am just north of you on the Monroe/Washtenaw county border!

Jendear, I glad you've joined us on the Michigan thread. Lots of nice people here and the longer you're here the more apparent it will become. Be sure to check on the link for Chickenstock that appears in my signature line. I'm sure you'll enjoy yourself if you come.

Awesome. Um, please tell me he won't be around tomorrow, it will make things awkward.

After I posted that I thought, "Hmmm, I wonder how much time Eeyore will spend tomorrow staring at his groin and wondering how close the poison ivy has gotten." He'll totally be around. I threatened him with bodily harm much worse than the current rash if I have to catch all those danged birds alone. If it makes you feel better it's not that close. Hahaha.

You've clearly never had a good pair. Pricey, but oh so comfy.
