I did not know you could get a ticket for having a bad attitude - we may all be in trouble

Unfortunately, it happens. I have a few stories and a major scar that tells that tale.

Welcome Pycno... Wow.. you had to pick a hard one huh? Like you and RaZ, I was totally geaked when I got my first egg. I posted some few thousand pages ago or so. LOL. It ain't weird. Its an actual chicken owner problem. You'll never go back to store eggs again.

Not me. I have a wonderful attitude. GET AWAY! Hehehe.

Speaking of that... I asked the boys if they wanted to play a game with me this morning... Its called get away. SO, they both say yeah, come running, and I screamed "GET AWAY" as soon as they got by me. I thought I was going to pee my pants!

Yup, that Buff Orp is trying to go broody on me. She was in the nesting box @ lunch, DH took her out & put her in the pen. Come home from work and there she is in the box, take her to free range, hangs out for a while and then high tails it back to the coop. I then go out to lock up and she's all comfy & snug in the box while everyone else is up their roosts. Up she went! Hope this doesn't take too long to break.
Who's all going to Fowlfest in Alma saturday? I will be going with my son.

Kimmie
I really wanted to go to his. My in-laws have property not to far from there and thought it would be a great way to spend to the day. Instead I will be attending my Aunt's funeral.....one of those things I can not get of.

I put my little Showgirl chick down today.
It stinks when you have to do this.

Sorry to hear this.....

Interesting day.
Crabby was at it all day long, mostly at her husband but a few barbs sent my way.
Later in the afternoon a city car was at their house. I heard a bit of the conversation.
Her, "His yard is a mess".
City, "It looks like he is doing yard work".
Her, "He isn't working fast enough and I'm tired of looking at it".
City, "I'm not aware of a time limit and I can see that he is working".
Her, "You have to do something. I'm sick of his attitude".
City, "I'll make a report". Then he left.

So either another ticket is on the way, or this guy will blow her off for being petty.

I was rather amused.

I know what her problem is

But I can't say for this is a family oriented forum!!

She is such a weirdo. I hope it's the latter.

You would have thought the dead thing up there would have decomposed by now.

If you hurry, you can beat Sarah before she get here to do chores.
Many hands make for light work...while I watch TV.

Oh is that how this is supposed to work?

Well I hope you guys let me know if anyone does decide to try it.

I'd like to know what you think. I did go the lazy route with the sauce, and just mixed up ketchup and veganaise (yes, that's a thing,
tongue2.gif
) with some diced dill pickles.
I made some bean/quinoa burger one time...they were a huge pain in the *** to make, ended up too dry. I liked the flavor though, w/hot sauce. I might try these!

I was totally geeked when I got my first egg. I kissed that hen full on the lips then I cooked the egg and savoured every bit of it.
Wait...chickens have lips??

Just bathed the 4 silkies that are going to the show on Saturday in Alma! It was....comical...

Poor things were so embarrassed looking and looked like drowned rats! Right now they're drying in my kitchen in a little round playpen with a blower on them. Almost dry!

While washing them off I was looking for mites or anything and I found a few on one of my roosters!
sickbyc.gif
So now I'm going nuts thinking they're all over me...I know, I know....they're not but it gives me the creepy crawlies!

It's those ugly yellow-ish ones. I think if I seven dust them tomorrow really well and bath them again they should be all set. Anyone have any other tips to get rid of them fast? I didn't see a whole bunch and I looked really good around the areas where they normally congregate (pooper, head/kneck and under wings) and I peeked throughout the body here and there and only found them on my one Roo. The coops are going to be scrubbed and dusted as well and these guys are going into cages anyways so I don't need to worry about them getting dirty.

What a crappy day....... had a flat tire on my way home from my haircut. Called my Dad to help me out. When he gets there he proceeds to tell me his PSA is high
Please send good thoughts and a prayer or two our way.
Sorry on your news Bianca. My dad is the same right now, too. It's never a great thing to hear. Sending healing thoughts your way for your dad.

Someone on the D'uccle thread said they thought Waffles was a cockerel....so I took some pics of her today at 5 1/2 weeks and I think they are nutso. Lol
I'm not agreeing, but I'm not disagreeing. I had 2 porcelain d'uccles and for the longest time I thought my roo was a girl because he took super long for his comb to develop. He was the bottom of the 6 roo totem pole, though, so that could explain why it took so long.
