I'm glad you like them!! I was having a hard time hiding them in the lab because 40 ft away you could hear..peep..peep...PEEP...PEEP...PEEP! PEEP!

It's amazing how something the size of a pingpong ball can be that loud! I almost kept those for myself...my partridges are always really nice looking! Go figure since we don't want to do that variety! I have a splash...it is only pet quality because it has 4 toes on both feet instead of 5. I decided to peek at thier feet cause I hadn't checked and of course the only one with an issue would be a splash.

I have 2 blacks too if anyone's interested!

So, are you telling me I can get the splash one too? I would have taken the 2 blacks too had I known it.

I figured it was probably something simple like that, but just wanted to make sure that ya'll didn't have some secret you were keeping from me! Hopefully I won't have to use this technique anytime soon!

I was trying to think about a quick way to make another coop (aside from the out house which will take a bit more thought and planning)........... and it hit me! I have a small octagonal gazzebo that was pretty solid, and not used at all. So I asked dad if he had some wood I could use for siding and ohhhhhh did he ever!!... I got some beautiful 12" weathered barn siding boards! I'll do a simple board n batton siding and fix the roof, it should work great! I'm excited!

The chickenculprit group is not YOUR babies lol..your six are in the top cage, they are the week olds...these are the two week olds- these are the showgirls and three uggos, and I dont know which is which.. YOUR babies are complete angels. Little and need a new photo shoot so you can see what they look like now.

Are you telling me I need to sneak more chicks into the hospital HAHAHAHA! I had one student convinced she was going nuts! (mooohooohahahaha...) She could hear something peeping but had no idea what it was and was like "did you hear that?" and I was like "no...what are you talking about?" BWAHAHA!

The splash is missing the 5th toe it needs on its feet to be breeding/show quality...and it still kills me to let it go. I had written a couple people back who had asked about the blacks and didn't even think to mention it to you.

I'm planning on raising strictly blue,splash,white in Bearded and Showgirl so I need to let go of the blacks and partidges no matter how nice they look...I just need to stick that rule and I suck at sticking to that rule cause thier so darn cute!

I cant do it the way a farmer or I will even go as far as to say, a responsible chicken owner, would do. I took it/take them to work and euthanize them by lethal injection.

I don't think I could do it that way either...I'll have to keep euthanasia in mind if I ever need to do that...which I hope I dont.

Jen - so if I don't find what I'm looking for tomorrow would you have splash and partridge at ChickenStock or would you be willing to meet up? I just want them as pets. I also just want one of each.

So those of you have disposed of a chick old school. Was it hard the first time? I have a hard time thinking about that stuff let alone being able to do it. I'll just have to cross that bridge when I get there I suppose.

I think I have DH convinced we should go to ChickenStock. I know it's pot luck, right? I'll have to check out what's already being brought.
