Sarah, glad to hear that you sold your birds. I wish I could have gotten them, but medical stuff and finances put a halt to it.

The tiny little bantum we pulled out of its shell has been named already. Kids called it Lucky. We discovered it didn't have the little edge on its beak that allows it to break through the egg! This morning it is walking around and chirping up a storm.

Didn't have jury duty today. For the first time all month, it was settled out of court. Actually it was pretty interesting.
MJ could you once again give me the directions on how to post pictures? I am not really great with this computer stuff and would like to show you all our chicks.

Need to haul all of our trash to the dump. Have a great day all!

Happy Birthday Young Lady! (Kristen)

Chickenstock_07001.jpg
This was taken at Chickenstock a few years back.

MJ - I'll see what Raigan would like, and discuss another trip out, hopefully Salyna (my wife) can make it this time. Do you have any layers for sale also? A friend of mine is looking for just one laying hen. Thanks.

Okay, possible emergency here, anyone near Charlotte (MI) with a really broody hen they can bear to part with? I've got hatching eggs arriving in the next 24 hours and both of our broody ladies just kinda ... quit.

(Don't have an incubator -- much prefer hen-raised chicks.)

*sigh*

hopefully Salyna will come! she must be wonderful!

xpButtercup....i have no broodies, but i do have a ginormous bator that you could put them in for 3 weeks. if worse comes to worse, let me know. it would be no problem.

I'm worried about that, but not sure what other options I've got ... someone suggested putting one of my formerly broody hens in a pen with the eggs and seeing if she'll decide to sit if she's got nothing better to do ... bummed at our luck as we usually can't STOP a hen that's broody, and now this! LOL
