Sorry, I missed this earlier, saw the first part of the quoted message referred to someone else and kinda skipped over the rest!

I will definitely consider it, if things don't go well with returning my CM (who did a lovely job raising 4 beepers last summer) to broody status ... she's already plucked her belly bare, why did she have to quit?!

She doesn't seem interested in the (very realistic) ceramics, though I see she's moved them from the center of the "nest" -- think it would help if they were warmed? Or if I tried some real eggs?

Judy had to run Lacey back to the hospital this afternoon....I hope this settles down and she can continue with a normal pregnancy.

I really don't want to meet my grandaughter just yet. Another 6 weeks would be ok.

I can see you tooling around town, spewing fluff and feathers instead of exhaust fumes.............................

We had another Wild Kingdom moment on our 153 acres over in Fostoria.
DH was plowing and noticed some tree by our pond chopped down and weird marks on some of the other ones. On his next go round on the tractor he saw a beaver slipping into the water. The kids and I went over. We did not see the beaver, but we saw the gnawed off saplings and the trees with the bark stripped. I had recently told the kids a story about some people who were canoeing when something came swimming towards them. It was a rabid beaver that tried to climb into the canoe to get them---they had to beat it off with their paddles. Poor little Shannon was scared..........................on the way out the door she stopped and prayed. "Dear God, please do not let the beaver be rabid and get me."
Her brother, being a good guy, grabbed his baseball bat to help protect.
What an exciting evening

Steve, our family is praying for yours. Lord, be with them. Touch Lacey and the baby. Give them all peace!

Rhandi what should my title be?

I have never been able to figure out one for me, so 'golden feather member' I remain...

OH! I hatched out sticky gooey babies today- I ended up with eight and a half. Two turkens, three Egyptian Fayomis, two silkies, and a Cuckoo Marans. I helped two of them. One turken zipped and then died. I was so sad- then I noticed that two were super-glued to their zipped area and I literally had to use warm water from the faucet to unglue them as they desperately peeped. The one silkie was superglued completely to the inside of the egg. I thought I may accidently tear off her wing- I was so scared. I know- I shouldnt help them, but they survived temps around 113 for unknown length of time~!! I figured I owed it to them. OH! The half...

Well, she hasnt decided if she is going to join us or not. Kinda has a hole in the shell, and is just chillin there- not progressing, but not failing or in trouble at this point. That one is a Cuckoo Marans. I just moved all the others into the brooder and they are a little mushy but doing well. I am surprised! I thought I was going to be able to put these in with the eleven from last week- WOWEE what a difference in size, and those buggers are mean! So, two brooders for me- it will be three next week if any hatch!
