So, TSC isn't going to carry Purina scratch anymore. Sent my hubby and that's what they told him.

I hope that isn't the case with Family Farm and Home.

He's scouting out potential future brides. And he found 3 lovelies in your yard. Wait till he brings his brothers. LOL.

Where I deliver papers, the condos that is... They have ponds through out the whole area. The ducks are abundant there. I have to watch where I walk at night, well, 4 am, because by that time they are all out prowling about looking for breakfast. Its so cool. Love seeing them wandering all over. And the geese as well. The only thing missing is the swans... They haven't had any swans show up this year yet...

We have a duck couple in our pool, but I haven't been able to take a picture of them. As soon a I get anywhere near the gate they are out of there, and I am afraid to try too often. I don't want to scare them off.

For several years a pair comes and hangs out in Crabby's pool. The come in my yard to the bird feeders and I can usually coax the female with Cheerios. The male watches and if she wanders to close, he scolds her.
Maybe with chickens and ducks already here they will be more comfortable.

I am feeling a bit better today, thanks. :) Head still hurts, stomach is still uneasy, but neither so bad as they were. Part of the issue is sinus, and I am sure the weather is not helping with that. Head hasn't at any point gotten to migraine status, at least, not what I consider a migraine.

I am not capable of looking at a computer screen when I have a migraine, or anything else, really. Sometimes I don't know how to read, and I can't remember anything else, either. First time that happened, I thought I was a goner for sure, lol. Spent a long time trying really hard to remember what sounds letters made, then eventually gave up and started trying to remember songs I sing my kids. As soon as I tried to concentrate on anything, it was gone. In the end I gave it all up and went to sleep, absolutely positive that I had a horrible brain tumor and that I would wake up not knowing who I was, who my family was, or anything else.

When I finally recovered I found out that that is not unusual for some people in a migraine, but that had never happened to me before!
How odd.... i have had that happen before, forgot what sounds certain letters were supposed to make. Thought i was going nuts! So migrains and memory issues are linked, eh? My concentration and memory is bad, and though i don't get true migrains very often, i do wake up with a headache most every day. :( Wander around in a brain fog for a few hours, DH thinks it's the coffee's fault, but i quit and it was worse. :( So far no high blood pressure, that's what caused my dad's migrains, so i have no clue what's going on in there....Dr's say i'm fine.

Yes, Fuzzy! It was a huge relief for me to find out, I was seriously terrified. I always have bad light sensitivity with a migraine, but that time I had serious visual disruption for the first time, one side of my vision was all muddled and flashing. I was trying through everything to look that up on the internet... and I couldn't figure out how.

I tried repeatedly, and couldn't figure out what I was typing wrong, I kept going over and over what I had typed, trying to sound out what I was typing, but I got nowhere. The loss of memory, and specifically in not remembering how to read or write, are not actually uncommon with migraines. I have long dealt with migraines, so I was really surprised I had never heard that before.

Coffee - I get terrible, terrible headaches without it, so does my mum, so did her mum. If I take too long in the morning to get a cup, the headache starts setting in and nothing but coffee will do anything for it. A doctor told me before it was caffeine headaches, but I don't really think that is true, I can load up on caffeine and it will not stop the headache unless it is coffee, so I am sure myself that it is one of the other things in coffee that I am addicted to, and suffer withdrawals from. Supposedly, if you quit it, it will get worse for quite a while, but then you will stop needing it. I have never gotten that far, though.

Sorry RaZ, total typo I didn't catch.

Juise... I NEEDED coffee. With the GB/Liver issue, I have gone off coffee. I WILL have a cup every few days or so. I had the worst headache for several days afterwards. To the point where I was not nice. Noise, light, smells.. you name it... irritated me something fierce. Then the head ache was gone. SO, that part is nice. I still have low level headaches nearly every day, but it sure is nice that I am not chugging the coffee so much, they are not near as bad when I miss a cup.

I would like to suggest that you put some windows and some ventilation in your coops! How would you like to spend a winters day in a casket with a bunch of other hens?
No wonder hens pluck and peck on each other. Give them some sunlight and ventilation in those coops. The coops look like caskets to me and I get claustraphobia just looking at them!

Attention Coop builders
