Juise- sounds like you had a fabulous time! Pictures of your kids on the horses?

We did, it was a nice visit, celebrated my Dad's birthday, my nephew's birthday, and my own, all rolled into one. I have a picture of my oldest, but my camera ran out of batteries before my youngest's turn. My mum was there and taking pictures, too, though, so I will get one from her eventually.

If anyone wants to keep their fingers crossed for me, it would be much appreciated!

Looks great! Where did you end up getting your ventilation in? I remember you saying something about it, but I can't remember now...

I am going to try this, though I haven't yet. Mix well 2 Tbsp vegetable oil, 1 Tbsp aloe vera, 25 drops rose geranium essential oil, and 25 drops lavender essential oils. Rub on. Should last awhile. I know rose geranium is supposed to be good for mosquitoes, too. Worth a shot!

silly, that baby is just darling! I will check out the video contest sounds really fun.

Cappalaria are lung worms. Any wormer that works for roundworms will work on them also.

York, the baby goosers are so cute. you should submit that picture with the baby sticking out from under the wing for the picture of the month. Are you u sure that 1 of the little yellow babies is not a splash? they are also yellow when they first hatch out.

Hi Momma K, welcome :D

Oh! Thank Nova, I see it now!

Yes, with basic crap. LOL. This A-Frame I am working on, well its the most adventurous one so far. AND so far, ok. LOL I was looking at it when I got home this morning and I see what I did wrong, and there is no way in heck I am going to take it apart to fix it, though that would be easy enough to do... BUT I AM NOT NOT NOT! LOL.

My 3 yr old is walking around with his butt hanging out. Jeez...

Well, I may have made a booboo. I hope all will be well. Skatter's chicks have pipped internally, and one is external. OH POOP! She must have one hot body, cuz they're a day early. SO, was so not ready for her to do that. Was planning for tomorrow to Wednesday. I mean, Leila and Skeeter both hatched theirs a few days over due... Guess Skatter needed to prove she could do it better. SO, what to do, what to do... I had 2 peices of OSB left over from the cutting that were 2x4 foot. SO, I took a scrap peice of 2x4 that was about 10 inches, and screwed the OSB to it to make half a box... put that up against the wall in the garage to create a triangle. Went out and got her egg in the cat carrier, was very careful, and then put her in with them and closed it up. Brought her back to the garage, and put her in the triangle. Left her in the cat carrier. I should mention that this cat carrier is for a dog. My dad had a 32 pound cat... Well anyway, good size. I went and rigged the chick feeder- the long one- cut a few of the seperaters between holes to make them bigger holes for Roger and Leila could eat from it easier, and took their quart feeder and put it in Skatters new house. Got her a small chick waterer, put that in. Found some chicken wire, stapled it to the wall, and one side of the triangle, put a board over the top in case one of the garage chickens tried to investigate, and let her out of the carrier. SHE SPAZZED OUT! She was trying to get out, flyiing up and hitting the chicken wire, and squawking something terrible. I ended up putting a tote lid and another board over the top, leaving only a small area uncovered, so she'd stop trying to kill herself. She finally went back in the cat carrier and settled down... I felt so bad, but I have to protect her and the chick from the bigger chickens. Hope she'll get over it. I'll check in the morning on the pipped egg and hope she's not going to freak out at it and attack it too. She's been broody for over a month now.... hope she realises that these ones ones are hers.

ALSO, Skeeters last hatch, they've been sticking to the coop lately. They are all relatively small birds. All bantam sized like Skeeter and Skatter. They are ok, but do ya'll think it maybe because the juvenile roos from the chuckles group are being very aggressive? I mean, they do not really leave the coop area now. They don't come for treats... They are healthy otherwise, but just stay in the coop away from everyone except Skeeter, who's in the nest box sitting... Guess I can't get those big meanies done fast enough. One of the ones from the garage is getting quite agressive to the other roos as well. He's going bye bye too.

And... well no, there is no and today. LOL.
