The other chickens did not pick on him.
Three weeks ago: I first gave him a bath with shampoo to get him squeaky clean, then I mixed an orange koolaid packet with a little water and poured it over him and made sure it was all over him. I rinsed him and blow dried him. Yesterday: I mixed a red koolaid packet and splotched it on him, rinsed him and blow dried him.
Modern games have amazing dispositions. They are very smart and active, but also are nearly fearless of humans and extremelly easy to handle. I have one old cock (the one in my avatar, though that picture was taken when he was young so now he has been dubbed. If you dont know, dubbing is removing the comb wattles and earlobes, which is a requirement for showing. That is probably the worst thing about them.) that knows how to walk on a leash, he lets kids bury him in a leaf pile, oes to a nursing home and its of peoples laps, and will let three year olds carry him around without a problem. I have hens trained to fly to my arm. They love free ranging, but they are so small that they would get eaten by hawks a lot. They lay medium (bantam sized) white eggs about every other day.
A pullet that I like. She needs to molt out her baby feathers and then I will show her.
What has been going on here on my little farm-
Ducky the muscovy is laying again in time to start saving the eggs to restart my farm!I have moved all the roos to their own pen, so the girls will be pure when I move the girls to the right roos in a week or so. Right now, I want them to get the egg production up and going well before breeding them as I got 1000 lbs of breeder feed from the feed mill the other day. Very good stuff. Hens lay well and chicks hatch out healthy.![]()

It definitely isn't to late. Beans require from 45 to 75 days depending on variety. There are two types of green beans, pole and bush. Personally I prefer the pole type since I don't have to bend over to harvest, and they tend to produce a 2nd and 3rd picking more often. Usually they will continue to blossom and produce beans until the first hard frost.
