Chickens can swim... they don't like to though cause it makes us think about noodle soup

What a great day to be outside. I hope you had nice weather where you are at.
I managed to get a few things done here, after playing with the chickens and ducks.
Pond filter was cleaned and stocked with new media. Another yard of soil was picked up for the beds. Western red cedars were moved out front and spaced for planting but I think I might have to swap the 2 on the left.


Also put up a few fence panels for Crabby to look at.


Still have lots to do, but I'm done for the day. Well maybe I'll clean up the duck brooder. I think they need to go out to the big coop this weekend.

traprock, welcome to BYC, you did a nice job on your coop. Don't worry, If some carpenter were to come by and examine my coops, they'd have an awful hard time finding a square corner, a level roost... straight cuts... Happy Birthday

That lady... I can't believe she threw her chicken in the pond... Thats just messed up. I don't care if chickens can swim... I figure if they want to, they will, but why the hell are you going to throw her in just so you can get a youtube video for poops and giggles? I didn't think it was funny... but that is just me.


RaZ, did you tell them that you are the only wild thing in your yard? The ducks are quite civilized and behave themselves for the most part? Nice Job on the yard and fence.

There were several posts within the past month or two that mentioned an organic farm that grew and ground their own chichen feed for sale. I dont know who posted or where the place is. I'm thinking it was near Bridgman or something like that. Thought I'd put the link in my favorites list but can't find it. couldn't find it usung search in BYC or scrolling lots of posts. Anyone have info. I perciate it and thanks.
