Nova, I followed these directions here almost exactly. I didn't have the energy to get creative with it today, maybe next time. The directions are to the right of the image, there are 11 steps. It was very easy to do, with the exception of flipping it over a few times, and moving it. It was also tricky finding ways to hold everything in place while getting the top triangles attached. All of those "hard" parts would have been really easy if I had been able to get someone to lend a hand for a moment here and there.

My little dinners are roosting! Yes really. There is a 2 inch dowel in the meaties coop and they were roosting on it.

6 of the chuckles have decided they like the summer coop. Now I just need to convince the rest to go in there. I need that coop empty for Skeeter and Skatter in another month.

RaZ, have you decided what to do with your concertos? (cockerels= concertos on the TP)

Juise - Great job on that arbor. You must have three hands to have done that by yourself. Love the whimsical charm.

Taprock - Showed my DH the pic of your showgirl. He didn't even think it was a chicken until he saw a bit of it's feet. Guess beauty has it's disadvantages though if it can't even find it's food!

Morning All....where is everyone???? We really, really need to get the fence around the garden! Those dang chickens b-lined right for it the minute we let them out

. I came home from work last night & DH was on patrol. Now I know what I look like walking around with the broom or stick shooing them out of everything! lol

Taprock......your little one is so sweet. Hope you can find a nice home for her. I might know of a family that might consider taking her. They already have a few chickens. I'll wait to see what comes about the situation & if anyone else is interested first.

Jaime - Lakenvelder is real good looking. If the one you think is a marans came from my eggs it is purebred Cuckoo Marans. It looks like you have
one rooster and one pullet in the blue's. If they are Andalusion then they are crossed with the Lakenvelder. Legs aren't colored right. Should be slate. They could be from my blue marans hen or my blue splash marans hen and be mixed with Cuckoo. If they are Marans then they are pure Marans, just Blue and Cuckoo mixed.
Oh thanks for the clarification! :) I think it could be a pure cuckoo marans...it's HUGE though. it's almost 25-30% bigger than it's hatchmates.
