they're saying 36 here. Awesome. I get to cover EVERYTHING in my garden tonight. and bring in 8 hanging baskets. and a flat of plants that were going to go in the ground today. AND figure out how to protect all of my planters. yay spring. so glad you came in march this year.

Gracious... I got an out of the ballpark question for you married ladies out there. If a single lady kept talking to your hubby, but made no untoward remarks, or behaved in any way that you could honestly say was threatening, and when she speaks to you, she does it just the same as she does your old man, does not scamper off like she trying to be sneaky, would you still be inclined to give the cold shoulder? Why am I asking? Like to write, and want it to be believable.

Well I would like to say I would scratch her eyes out but that would not be nice. Truthfully, I really don't like other women taking a lot of interest in my "Man"

We have a live one!!!! One of the eggs has hatched! I now am a proud chicken owner, once again!!! We will see if we have more tomorrow!!!

How awesome is that, I want to hatch my own eggies.

Been meaning to ask............... do you do scratch cooking? I'm not from the south, but i spent a little bit of time there, and i was lucky to have a mother in law from the south that was my best friend.
Well, my coop is somewhere between these 2 shades of green, lol. But i got this one for around $500, used it to camp in one summer, never got the gas ....... then the guy who sold us the camper, who hooked up all the gas stuff made his home a crater by improperly hooking up a gas appliance.... Hmm. well, chicken coop it is. Still gutting and fixing the interior, I love having it. I can walk around in there, and because i only keep a half dozen chickens at a time, can keep them in complete locked in with no problem in an emergency. I will have to coon proof the windows though, with the fence posts butting up close now.

Well, i have been with mine for about 14 years, so for me, not really. Totally secure. Buuuuut had you asked me in my first 5 or so, totally. Just because she was being sooo nice. Like the kid that's trying to sneak the cookie....

Thats going to make a really big coop, you could get a bunch of chickens.

I surely don't understand this response, but I've seen it happen.
It makes me wonder if the issues with Crabby next door has something to do with that.

The girl I dated for some time was jealous of my neighbor even though we were nothing more than friends. Then my neighbor got wiggy about the girls from school who would some times come by to visit and study.

I surely don't understand any of that behaviour. It's not like I'm a handsome man worth getting excited about.

Being handsome has nothing to do with it, its all how a guy acts and treats people, thats what turns me on.

coffee is necessary this morning, more so than the others.
I will admit it- I AM COLD.
There, I said it. I wish I had a heater to curl up in front of. I slept in front of the fan all night, no covers- and I believe I am frozen solid.

My kid is sick. Im trying to figure out if she has mono, strep throat, or is mainly faking.

She definitely has a red throat. She sleeps all the time. However, she is in a cycle that she is up late, is forced to get up early..so she falls asleep after school, then wakes up late and stays up late..see, circle?

She HATES chores..if she is sick, she doesnt have to do them...sleep, moan, groan, etc...anyhow, Im not sure how sick she is.

Its about time to get ready for work- I cant believe how much chatting you all did after I went to bed. I woke to fortynine unread posts.

I had mono when I was 17 it is the worst illness I have ever had! They link mono with developing lupus later, who knows why I had to get lupus but I think it's here to stay

Had something like this recently. DH was his normal friendly self to the teller at the bank. He goes in frequently and would chat with her. She was living with her BF about 1 mile from us. Next thing I know, she has friended him on facebook. Shortly after that she is sending him private messages and instant messaging him late at night about breaking up with her boyfriend, needs a place to live, etc. while he was working on his homework. I put my foot down and made it clear that this had crossed the line, this was disrespectful to myself and his children and this was not a behavior that an ethical person would engage in (I also threw in how would he feel if I was getting calls from my "male friend at work".) He instantly de-friended her. I also make sure I do all the banking these days

What a skank I think that's what my kids call a girl like that.

Channel 9&10 news said that it could get into the high 20's here

I have to cover everything tonight to, take down my hanging baskets etc....Got to love Michigan.

Question: My two old chicks act like they are trying to take a dust bath can I put something in the brooder for them to roll around in? They are running around the brooder, jumping up in the air hitting the chicken wired lid just acting crazy. I don't know I can contain them for another four weeks.

It is a little bare right now but you can totally see, even now, what it's going to look like in a month (or probably even 2 weeks - post more pics then , yeah?) It's lovely now it's going to be an amazing riot of plants soon - kinda fun to see it before it gets to that point, really!

Well it's my coffee time now! How I hate working nights. "Almost done...Almost done"


Well, I don't know if any of your read my vomiting chicken story the other day but I think it was more than just an odd occurrence. I'm beginning to wonder if this silkie may have sour crop? It's really fluid filled feeling and even if I pick it up "wrong" it will start to regurgitate. It's sitting all hunkered down like but will run like hell if it sees me coming. So I brought it in the house and put it in the brooder and my DH is bringing home some organic yogurt. I've been trying to read about what to do so any other advice or experience would be awesome. It appears to be pooping although not very big amounts at a time. Just tiny little things, not normal sized.
