$5 is cheap for a laying hen! Round here you get $10 for a laying hen.

Is $5.00 a high price for a laying hen (vaccinated) just under a year old? Someone wanted to buy a few from me and though that was too high. I didn't even get in to telling them what I have paid for chicks and hatching eggs!

I think that's beyond reasonable. Usually I see that quality at about $8-$10. I always just figure if they want it bad enough they'll pay what I'm asking.

Or they can get it somewheres else!

Yep, still chilly but I think I like it better than those mornings where you wake up and its ALREADY hot..no a/c in my house so the coolerr mornings give me a break from the stuffiness that is soon to come.

Did you know if you scratch a skunk's belly, his hind leg twitches like a dog's does?

I'm waiting for the delivery people to bring my new counter top. I hope they got it right. I won't know for sure until I gut the old counter and cabinets.
But since I'm "hosting" a picnic on Sunday, I'll have a few helpers. Right, ladies?
