Today's mail brought two bantam eggs that through the art of pysanky they were transformed by Glambka in works of art. Absolutely beautiful.

Ugh, I know. I'm looking to see if there's any way to get rid of them without actually killing anything else I have around. Searching for pest control and snapping turtles doesn't seem to have the same number of hits as searching for pest control and rats/coons/etc. That stuff I can deal with, I have NO idea how to get rid of snappers.

I can take him to the Naturalist at Nankin Mills. They have a few that they use for nature education for kids.

And I thought I was bad with my male chicken jokes at work Saturday night...

My bio moms hubby used to catch snappers when were kids. He thought it was great fun to put them in the back of his El Camino where my sisters and I were sitting, take a corner fast so the box would tip and the turtle would get out. They are vicious suckers when they are threatened... even when they aren't actually. BUT yes, they are good eating. I do remember that as well.

Skeeter's laying again! I got a green egg today... Atleast I am assuming it is hers... It was oddly colored actually, but the right size for her, so, I am thinking her paint factory is a little wonky.

Glad that lady found her dog. I hated when my dog came up missing/stolen, it hurt a lot, and I never got him back.

Gracious! CS is so close! I am trying to decided if I am going to bring the boys with me after all. I am not sure I want to put up with them for the hour and a half car ride. LOL. I am not bringing ANY cages with me... Just one cat carrier for some silkies. HEHE.

I am going to be spending the days before making loafs of bread... I was going to slice it up before and put it all on platters... make it easier for serving. The salad I will also put together last minute. Well the dressing at least, unless I can bum a cooler from someone. I don't have air in my car, and if its hot, I don't feel like dealing with spoilage... BUT, their will be enough chickens to eat it if that were to happen. HAHA

What a nice day this has turned into. My house is finally at a cool level. The breeze really helps. Nice a fresh. Wish we had gotten the rain though. Would have made it better.. Wash away all the random chicken nuggets.
