Hey Jen - what about your friend up by Potterville? She still getting rid of her Partridge Silkies ? I haven't heard from her.

Also, I just put 6 Silkie eggs from those beautiful buff's I bought in the incubator the other day. You interested in them ? The adults are just beautiful.
I would start calling her. She is oober busy and tends to forget things...a little pushing usually helps lol
Hi neighbor! I'm across US31 in Grant twp. We're just finishing our coop and are on the lookout for some young hens/pullets. If you know of anyone nearby who wants to sell a few please let me know. I'd highly appreciate it!
Not too picky about breed, friendly future egg layers are what we want.
Hello! Have you heard about ChickenStock yet? :) You should come! It's a big picnic/swap in Lansing of a ton of members of the michigan thread and anyone else who hears of it. A load of fun, poultry and GREAT food!

Where is US31 at ???

I am totally devastated. I only have Roger left, and 3 dotte chicks. Leila, her two bio babies, her two adopted silkie chicks... Gone. effen coon got in.
Nova, sorry to hear about your chickens. Those darn coons are everywhere I look lately. We've graduated from 'how can we possibly kill a living thing' to 'if I see that darn thing in the yard it's a goner' due to the recent loss of the barn kittens by those bleeping things.

It's been a few weeks. Hi everyone.

Also, screenprinting, heck no! I believe I stated at least a month or more ago that if I was going to make them I would have needed to know then, lol! I build my frames, stretch my screens, hand paint the screens, and do all of the printing myself, and it takes time. If all I had to do was screenprint, it would be more than possible, however time is something I don't have much of. XP
HEHE, Well, theres a post you didn't skim over! LOL, Good thing I was joking huh!

Anyway... The tractor coop... I ended up going with lattice on the sides over the fencing that was there instead of just trim. I want to still have that air flow that I had. I did get the trim also to sandwiche the lattice work, figured its just another added measure yah know what I mean. I will get pictures tomorrow. It was not fun cutting that lattice work. I am now thinking I might do the bottom of my big coop with it also. It has the stronger fencing, and then another layer of fencing, but I like how that lattice work looks! It looks so very nice!

Roger and his last 3 charges would not even go in there tonight. I wasn't going to put them in there anyway, but 2 of the dottes were already roosting in the summer coop, and one dotte was walking around the out side of that coop and run trying to find a different place to bed down for the night. Roger was also. LOL. I put them in the chuckles coop with Belle Mai and one of the NH. Loralie and Rod Stewart are hell bent to stay in the garage. I may end up making a garage coop after all out of lattice work and 2x4s. There is already a pop door, so...

Set the live trap. Threw a big old turkey leg in it. I hope that sucker comes back. I am also leaving the back light off tonight. I forgot and left it off last night, I normally leave it on all night. It lights up the back yard big time.

I put a gallon jug of ice in the meaties coop tonight. I have to give them something bigger soon. I have enough wood I think I maybe able to expand their coop out... They aren't going to fit in there much longer.

Anyway, my feet and knees are killing me from all the waltzing around my yard that I did. Have a good night all!

Thanks Tee....
I will be wanting silkies still at CS. And if anyone has an older bird that is laying still to make Roger happy, that'd be good. I don't want him lonely for long.
Nova, I have a black silkie hen who is sooooo broody and I'm not really "into" the blacks....let me think about it some more and maybe I'll bring her along if you're interested. She's a sweety, I just don't need any black hens. (probably about 1-1.5yr old)
