Glambka- here is a picture of Uggos. These are not my Uggos. If these hatch from my eggs, they are gonna be Olive and Robin's Uggos.

Well, if I don't have colorful chickens... I will.

Another pullet started today. Tiny egg.

My sons dug a hole in the side yard yesterday. Made a big mess. Anyway, today Aiden filled that hole... With water....

I also got a few of my sick girl... I'd like to say she is better today, she scarfed down 2 scrambled eggs... I also took fuzzys suggestion and got her some high-pro game bird feed. The other chickens are JEALOUS! I swear they knew something was up when Jace went back and got just her...

She was eating egg yolk soaked waffles and noodles. She has one heck of an appetite that is for sure. I just can't wait for her to get better. My mom was totally yucked out over her being on the counter. The fat cat was totally freaked out over her being on the counter. The dogs were drooling over her being on the counter. LOL. HELLO! Lysol! Well anyway, as you can see, she is a pretty girl, so... She's a faverolle mixed with something else. But those puffy muffs.. LOL. Hawk is her twin... except hawks legs are pinkish and feathered like a faverolles.

I'll Be leaving Montague foe lansing at about six A M Sat. Anyone along the way want to ride along Company might be nice. Can drive truck or car depending. PM me soon. bob

I started my food dish for CS. The aroma is sooo enticing.
A bit of cooking tonight and a cool down period, then some more slow cooking tomorrow.
By noon on Saturday, it will be ready.

OLIVE yes, yes I plan on keeping a couple.

A couple to scare the hawks away from my banties :)

I hope a couple frizzle blue or splash feathered black skinned naked neck blue egg laying ones hatch out :)

I agree with your mom. I don't exactly have the highest standards when it comes to what ends up on the counters, but a chicken....

Then again, I was disgusted when I had to put my favorite roo in the shower last fall after he got himself in a fight with heaven knows what.

DH and I were talking when we were in PetSmart last week and both agreed, after raising chickens we could never have house birds like parrots or parakeets or what have you. For me it's not so much the germs, heaven knows we get enough of those anyway, it's the DUST. They shed it everywhere they go.

That and the smell. I've processed way too many and the smell really gets to me. It took a good six months after I processed last until I could eat chicken again, but I can still smell it on the live birds... and it turns my stomach.
