Just for fun, I checked my horoscope and it says, "You may be so sensitive now that you're picking up on everyone's emotions and you might even feel under the weather for no logical reason. But don't give in to negativity, for your current emotional turmoil isn't as bad as it might seem today. Above all, be honest; if you attempt to deceive anyone at all, your plan will probably backfire. Avoid long-term relationship complications by honoring the truth."

Underlines are my edit. Whatever you think of horoscopes, the avoid negativity and be honest parts are spot on. I wonder if I should take some eggs for the prosecutor and judge.

Good Luck Today! I am not sure you are allowed to 'egg bribe' the judge and the prosecutor with but it couldn't hurt to try. Hell...bring a hot plate and make omlets.

Good luck today Raz!

Grandma.... I love Austria! Beautiful country, we thought a few times about moving there. Have a great time on your trip! (the flight is tougher on the way home)

Love the ring tone!

have a good day!

Well... I had to do my first on my own no neighbor to hold my hand cull this morning. The hen I posted last night, she was worse this morning. Looked like her bowels exploded... Not blood! Just so much diarrhea... She was on her side, occasionally making a loud bawk, but not even trying to move. So, I cuddled her a bit, took her out back, dug the whole, did the deed...

the coon is back. It did not even go near the duke trap! Tried to get in the silkie coop, the chuckles coop it got the door open, but couldn't get in, lost its perch I guess. But there is a hardware clothe door inside the solid door! Ha! Well anyway, I am going to try meat stuffed in it tonight, and move the other live trap to a different location. That sob is gonna go down sooner or later.

sis will find out today when she has her open up fix it surgery.

To date I have caught 28 coons. One in the trap right now. I was told awhile back to use jelly. Coons love jelly. So I put out some dry dog or cat food and a spoon of jelly on top of that. Works good apparently.

I am so sorry to hear about your sister. Hopefully they will be able to fix what ever is ailing her and that she heals quickly.

I've only had to do one cull so far and I did it myself with my DH looking on in awe. I thought I was going to have to do another last week when the hens went after one of my young girls. Her head was really bloody from their bullying and I separated her into the brooding corner of the coop. She wasn't standing and couldn't really get her balance for a while but the other day I went into the coop and she was standing and eating. I've added her back into the regular flock and she's doing good now.

That's too bad, nova. What kind of worms did the vet say she had? Did you do one dose or 2? Sorry for the 20 questions, i am a worrier and sooner or later i just know i will have a case like that.... I will ask DH later today when he comes home what they baited their traps with. Some kind of fish i think.

That is terrible about your sis. Did the lawyer say she had a decent chance?
When i was with my sister-in-law the day she had her gall surgery in muskegon there was someone there that had their bladder nicked too. I don't remember the name of the hospital, but i will NEVER go there! They started off the day by doing the paperwork wrong, we went in for gall and they were going to do hysterectomy.....she wasn't with it, i was freaking out. NO! then we had to wait 4 hours to get in a different spot. Then when it was done the nurse didn't even have her on a breather, and she has sleep apnea! Wasn't even monitering her oxygen, and i don't know much, but i think after a surgery that's important!!!!!!! Makes me scared of hospitals.

Nova - I think I missed the sister post this time, but ya'll are in our thoughts, too. On the chicken death, good job on the cull. It seems like you've had way more than your fair share of issues. Could there be something underlying that's contributing to your problems? You clean your coops more than I clean my house so I know you're doing everything right.

Sometimes we overlook things... or don't even think of them though, maybe it's something like that? Sorry about your hen.

And cheap pancake syrup. DH uses that around the outside of the Duke trap if just the marshmallows don't do the trick. Also he says raw meat and grape jelly and tuna fish, he said just the juice from the can will attract them, also jack mackerel, I've gotten that in cans from the grocery store. Fairly cheap. Good luck, but you WILL get him, I can feel it!
