Why thanks very much for the offer MI chickens. I've got some medical gloves, so it'll be easy enough to keep the area clean and dry. I may be left handed, but I use my right hand a whole lot anyway. Pretty ambidextorous. The only thing that is a pain in the petunia, is that it'll keep bleeding in the area where there is not stitches. I am tempted to try some medical glue there anyway... Tempted... LOL. It is only just now starting to ache, six hours after the fact. Or maybe what ever it was that they put in the wound to numb it is finally wearing off.

I just shaved my little ones head. The fleas... We aren't using the frontline. We have been using the prontyl. It is NOT working. I just dosed the dogs 3 days ago. It is like I never did anything. It worked real good last year, and worked wonderful for my pit the year before, but it is not working now. Now I am afraid to put something different on them being so close to the last dose. But anyway, the fleas are so bad that they are in Aidens hair. Must be all the fruit that kids eats, sweet blood. Jace, nothing. I picked through his hair to see if he had the same problem, but nope. My mom neither. Poor Aiden, the dogs sleep with him A LOT! I got home from work at 5 this morning, and one dog was at his feet, the other he had ahold of like a stuffed toy. Well anyway, no more fleas on his head. But still very annoying. I am going to powder the entire floor in the upper level over night. Tomorrow I will do the lower level and let it sit till near bed time. I am going to go so far as to stand the mattresses up on end and get the floors under them as well. Can I put the borax on my sofas? I have a set in the sitting room down there, the kids and the dogs get on them also.

I haven't gotten the run down done either. If anyone needs it ASAP, I'll get it done tonight yet, but for now I think it'll be a morning thing while the kids are sleeping.

Opa - What is with those eagles in the video?

Why don't they fly off when the lady walks up to them?
I truly believe that some people have a way with animals. I also believe that those critters have a sense of people who mean them no harm.

I must say, that the lady who assisted me today was very nice. She also has some darn adorable goats. I think she said they were boar? goats. Omg they were so cute. She used to have alpacas also. I remember seeing them when I went by... But haven't seen them for a while. Well anyway, they were very nice. Oh, and she has chickens. Has a coop that is AWESOME! I am so jealous. I told her so too. I want a chicken coop like that. HEHE. Imagine the chicken trouble I could get into with it. HEEHEE.

I can picture the trouble! Hey Nova! The borax can go on the couch also. No worries. Some people put it in their laundry. Harmless to humans as I understand it. Do read the box warnings however!

Nova,
A friend of mine has worked for a vet. He says that the Meijer dandruff shampoo has pyrythrin (sp) in it and that you can use that as a shampoo for your animals also to get rid of fleas. You have to leave it on as long as you can, at least 10 min so it has a chance to work. Also works on humans! Maybe, it will help for your animals and kids!

We have used it and it does seem to help.
