"Uhhh I ate too much fair food!" lol

He looks just like his daddy here!!

Just like his daddy, he's not phased by water!

Whew, some of you have such wonderful neighbors (or are wonderful neighbors) and some have some pretty awful neighbors!

My only neighbor issue came when I was living in Milwaukee. Our two houses shared the same driveway entrance, which then split into our respective parking areas behind each house. So...how do you think snow shoveling went during the winter? Seriously, the people who lived in the other house never shoveled. My housemates and I, so we could, you know, get our cars out, had to clear the driveway while they often watched from a window. If we knocked on the door to ask for help, no answer. Of course, we wouldn't touch their parking area, but we had to clear the actual entrance/exit, which was a lot of work. We also documented each time we shoveled snow, who did it, and how long it took.

I and one of the lads I lived with finally got fed up when a blizzard rolled through. Instead of shoveling the snow off to the side, we shoveled it into the other parking area. We didn't go out of our way to put it ALL in, but because there was a lot of snow on the ground, a very, very nice pile formed. We waited for the inevitable firestorm. It came, a few hours later. Actually, we learned they first complained to our landlady, but we'd already told her before that he was being a 'bit' lax on snow removal and had documentation. She essentially told him to get out and clear the snow. The rest of the winter, if my housemates or I went to shovel snow, he'd silently join us. Was piling the snow on his side mature? Absolutely not! Did it work to get our point across? Quite well!

Awesome!

HELLO!
OMG, I miss my Chrome... Anyway! Stacykins, that was not very nice of you. It should have been a MUCH BIGGER PILE! HEHE. The first house my ex hubby and I moved into, it was in February, had a huge pile of snow at the end of the drive way because the neighbor had a plow guy, and she told him to just go ahead and park it there. The house had been empty for quite some time, as the land lord could not keep tenants in it for more than a few months. It was the house, not the tenants. If you ever want to hear a ghost story, I have them from that house. We lasted in it a little over a year. Anyway, it was a very nice house, huge yard. Off the point.. So we were using Minnie's drive way to get into our drive way. She asked us to just clear the pile of snow so we could use our own and not ruin her grass. I asked her then, who had their snow removal guy put their snow at the end of the drive, and she admitted that she did, I then asked her how she reckoned we would be able to shovel it out, since it seemed more of an ice mountain that just a pile of snow... She got her snow removal guy to come and plow it out of the way. She was actually a very nice old lady, in her mid 70s. She used to catch my big old Rottie and tie him to my front porch when ever he'd get out of his chain and take himself for a walk. She had to weigh less than my dog, and my dog LOVED HER! He hated men though. Best dog ever.

My next neighbors after than, they were OK also. Then the neighbors after that... The old lady was cool to me because I was white. Not so much my husband, cuz he was Mexican. Her god-son, He had the hots for my old man, and THAT made things REALLY hard. LOL. I thought it was funny. But for the most part, I got on well with them too. The ones on the other side, was an older couple, they were awesome, Hans and Maria.. Good old country Dutch. Then they sold, and a young couple with a mean rear dog moved in, and I politely suggested they put up a fence ASAP after I went over to introduce myself, and when I bid the lady good evening, turned to walk away, her dog lunged at me as soon as my back was turned. She was appalled, or did a good job faking it, and I suggested a fence. I told her that may be the safest for everyone considered. Her dog later killed one of my cats, and they chucked it over the fence into my yard. I was pithed (nice one Mom2) off big time. Those were the worst neighbors I have ever had.

Now I live in rural neighborhood. Firefighter across the street, new baby on my birthday. Carl and Earlene next door, who got me wanting my own chickens, and Bill on the other side of them, never home. Then on the other side of me is Mrs. Brown, hubby passed a few months ago, and then her mom 3 days after her hubby, so her dad lives with her now. Shes 72, her dad is 93, and they LOVE my chickens all over their yard. Say they enjoy seeing them, and even like the crowing. Only now, no more of their favorite one crowing....

Mom2, sorry bout your little chick. The silkie eggs are developing very nicely, and are now being sat on by 2 hens. Yup. Skeeter has gone broody again. I am hoping the neighbors hens start laying again real soon... Or she holds out till next week when Snowbunny's eggs will be hatch-able again.

Mr. Fluffers passed away. I knew it was a possibility last night when he kept falling asleep when I was trying to get him to eat... He got up on his roost last night, something he hadn't done for days, so I was hopeful. Well... I tried my best.
