I have a question that is probably dumb- and I could probably find the answer secretly so not to appear dumb- but I don't care who thinks what of me so I will just ask here (yes, Olive- take the lazy way out- I hear you in my head ha ha)...

I have seen some very uh, 'cute' quail pens made out of pvc- little hoop houses. I think even I could do that. SO, I need to know- does one buy pvc pipe and secure one end then bend it over? Does PVC bend? Or do I have to buy it already bent? how does one then attach the wire fencing?

I wish I had one of those handydandy husbands that liked to build things..and I wish I had some sort of strength in my hands for cutting wire..arthritis has kicked my butt. SO, Im all for rigging things to make it work. But if there is an easier way, I sure would like to know how to do it.

We already looked into this. We knew pvc didn't bend so we studied on it.

Hey, Lazy -- How big are you planning on making it?

There might be a couple cheaper/easier options depending on what size you want.

It would be easier if everyone could just get along..lol..then i would only need to put netting over the yard and everyone could live happily ever after underneath it.

I dont know how big I plan on making it, Olive- does one ever know that ahead of time? I only have an average backyard, so I dont have much room- depending on how much of the chickens' space I want to steal, I could go four foot by eight foot to much smaller.

What are my cheaper...did you say easier?....options? share with me.

Hey -- hugs to everybody! Lots of hugs!

It's hot and dry and I have poison ivy (aren't you glad I'm giving internet hugs?) and my brother has cancer and my cat yakked on the carpet in five different places last night and I'm cranky.

I'm glad that each and every one of you is here. Seriously.

My two young Silkie roos have discovered sex. They are doing the cutest little rooster dances. But when one of them grabbed a beakful of saddle feathers on one of the hens, she shrieked and towed him like she was the boat and he was the waterskiier across the pen. Oh, that was fun to watch!

Meanwhile the hulking huge -- and younger -- Light Sussex rooster hasn't quite hit puberty and is watching them like they're nuts. I'm holding my breath wondering what will happen when he hits his stride.

BF said if you don't want to make it he would...
He likes building.
How big and how much are you looking to spend?
awwww...then my husband would get mad at me because it would make him look bad. I dont know how big- I have to replan and reorganize the back yard. Heyyyyyy...I DO have my shed in the back that I could probably modify with some sort of outdoor pen...... but when it rains the water leaks in it.

WARNING FOR HORSE OWNERS/LOVERS!!!

Read the article attached. Pretty scary. The girl can't even write her own ad correctly.
Yup....this girl lives down the road from me. Her and her whole family are druggies, her dad being the biggest, and I have never spoken to anyone out here who even likes that family. My granddaughter used to go down there and ride horses until a stop was put to it. And I don't call people druggies unless there is proof to back it up !!! One time her dad took out a shotgun and threatened to go out and shoot every horse there plus the horses are not well taken care of.This is a real sad situation for sure and they have been turned in MANY times and nothing is ever done. She just keeps breeding horses.
