Happy Easter!!

Wow, LoveMyChicklets, can't believe your kids sleep in!! Of course, I think my oldest two used to do that too, as they got older. The youngest ones haven't shown any signs of that yet. The 9 year old was up at 5:30 this morning, asking if he could start looking for his basket!!

We sent him back to his bedroom! I am getting too old for this!!

HAPPY EASTER!

I woke up to a wonderful Easter surprise! My turkey eggs have hatched! One little bugger was running around knocking the other eggs all over the place lol.

Silly turkey! Out of the 7 I had in the bater one was not fertile, two of them I openned the end of the egg to make sure they were getting air (they hadn't pipped) and they had already died

(they were really big) and the other 4 made it!! I think 4 out of 7 is pretty darn good! These are out of my Royal Palm hen and my Eastern Wild tom....so I'll post some pictures once they start getting thier feathers in....hoping for the calico look!

Congrats on the baby turkeys RIRJen!!

Happy Easter all. We were up at 5am, got everyone cleaned up and to the 6:30am sunrise service. After we went and ate at the pancake breakfast. I am relaxing for a few minutes before I start prepping to cook the things I am taking to my mom's for dinner this afternoon. The kids are happy and preoccupied with the goodies they got from the easter egg hunt yesterday and from what the easter bunny gave them this morning. It looks to be a pretty good day. Blessings to all!!!!

I hope that everyone had as nice a day as we had. An excellent dinner as always. Hope had a great time visiting with her youngest son and his family and of course was thrilled to see her new grandson. He weighed 16 pounds at 6 weeks and already 6 month old clothes are getting tight. He definitely is going to be a big boy. Like any time you go anywhere she enjoyed herself but was glad to be back home.

Ate a big plate of food today at Easter brunch. So much that I could only get down one dessert!!!

I haven't been on the net for a while, we had a lot of family happenings here.

I had a good time wiith all the family being here and also a large dinner with everyone making a dish.

I have to say I am glad it is back to normal around here now....I am plumb tuckered out from all the activity over this long Easter weekend.

Bet you loved every minute of it, tho! Having the family together is so special these days. With everyone going in different directions, it's hard to get the family together. I think Kristen has had enough of my family for awhile, tho!

I was checking out the posts way at the beginning of this thread....where has all them chickaholic gone? Where's hotwings, and freebie? There are so many others that I can't remember right now....give me a break, it's late and I ate too much so my brain is very s l o w ... But, hey, where did they go? Got to go looking and bring em back into our fold.
