I plan on being there. I'm coming with my GF and my mother so I guess I'll have to go to Bronners as well. I'll be recognizable, I have a brush cut and also because we will be moving so slow. See all of you there.

Oh, I want to go too! I'm going to have to have a talk with Dh tonight. It sounds like everyone is going but me and KrisRose! I'm starting to think this would be so much more fun than going to the Soaring Eagle for our anniversary! Have to talk to Dh....Have to talk to Dh

Anyway have fun everyone and be safe!

I hope to come, but it will depend on how my step dad is doing. He has surgery tomorrow, so we will see.

Sam (Opa) I think your brush cut looks great!

If I come, I will probably be with a friend and a couple of our teen 4-H kids that like to go to these things. I might bring my little ones too, depends on what dad is doing Saturday.

I'm glad you think it looks okay. I'm still young enough to be a little vain. I haven't worn my hair this short since I was a Drill Sergeant at Fort Leonard Wood over forty years ago. My barber informs me that when your feathers are turning gray, and the back of your head is starting to molt, you only have three choices. Shaved head, burr head or comb over. I thought the flat top was the best choice. It isn't fair the so many of you are planning on getting there so early. I have a girl friend that isn't a morning person and a mother that is old and slow so that by the time we finally get there I doubt if there will be a bird left for sale. Oh well, I'm going to bring a cage anyway. Hopefully, I'll see some of you there. Vicki I'll be praying for your step dad.

Hi again!!!
Thanks for the great welcome and I hope to be able to go to the show also. I have been trying to talk the husband and son to go. My one son is interested in chickens also and seems to really enjoy it. I wound up with quite a collection from just buying what was left one day at a sale. I have silkies, bantums, 2 Bramahs, Some big black ones, not sure what they are, aracanas, Rhode Island Reds, some Ida Reds. 41 all total. I have 4 sons, and 13 Grand children, 2 Greats and one great on the way!!! And no I am not that old. Late 50's. I am enjoying showing the little ones that chickens are not all so nasty. Some of them beg to feed them and go gather eggs. Most of them are just starting to lay. I only have 3 old chickens and the rest were all chicks in April. I get a kick out of hearing the roosters when they crow. But I also know I need to get rid of some of the roosters. I grew up with a Mom that loved animals and the outdoors. I am the same. We have two dogs and two cats in the house. I am hoping to learn more and who knows, maybe make some good friends in the process.:

To those of you going to Fowl Fest, I have some really nice small animal carriers for sale.

These are PERFECT for transporting chickens. They are brand new, never used. These carriers open from the top, instead of the front. They come complete with a carry handle and strap, removeable dish, removeable perforated floor grate, and a small storage bin on top for treats. Below is the url where you can see the specs/pics...THIS WEBSITE URL IS FOR REFERENCE ONLY. Simply copy and paste it into your browser. If you have any questions, please pm or email me. Paypal now and pick up at Frankemuth Fowl Fest.

Miss_Jayne has 2 of them and can attest to their quality and value. $12 each.

i sure can attest to the quality and value! $12 is a steal! these are high quality and i am surprised at how nice they look. not cheap plastic, thick and well made.

thanks for the awesome product, Michelle. i know my call ducks will make it home safe and secure. way better than a regular pet carrier! let me know if you get more items like this!

Note to self. I have to get there before Keleka. He has a bad habit of buying the chickens I want !!!

Don't worry. I'm cut off this year. Too many chickens in the hen house, and my neighbors may be getting a little suspicious.

To those going to Fowl Fest: Anyone looking for Seramas? I have 4 chicks, I believe there are 2 pair.

Howdy!!
Guess I won't be able to go to the Foul Fest. Husband and sons all want to go salmon fishing. So we will be going after the scaley things!! It will be fun having us all together anyway.
My one silkie is setting on some eggs. Guess she doesn't realize it is fall.
Does anyone know where I could get some more silkie hens?
Hope you all have a good time Saturday!! Myrna
