Opa - that brooder is very nice.

I plan on going to the Imlay City show tomorrow. It might only be me with both kids, so I'm not sure what time. I could shoot for 8. Unfortunately we can't stick around long, I have a daddy/daughter dance tomorrow that Raigan is very excited for. Hope to see some of you in the morning.

Keleka, she is destined for greatness, that one. her true knowledge and her make believe skills are both very high. confidence is out the roof, but at the same time she is not snarky or disrespectful. and let's face it, any kid that can get a chicken to ride a bike or swing on the swing set, um, that kid's going somewhere.

Yes, we all need to be more aware of the others who come to the thread to post. I had someone email me last night...they had posted, but no one had responded. We're all a good group of folks...we just need to pay more attention to everyone.

I agree. During the day at work I can only lurk real quick

. I feel bad because I see people post and I can't respond. This thread moves so fast that by night the post can be buried. I will try to do better!

sure did! lots of outside stuff today. how's Peanut Butter doing?

Well, glad to hear it! Peanut Butter is completely better. The little stinkers are ranging a litte too far for my comfort. But they do have cover, so that helps. We live on my great great grandparents original homestead. So there's a nice treed area for them, which is their fav and they've been wandering out to where the old barn and silo used to be (there's still remnants of it). So I'm glad they've got some cover.

Finally! Got those brooders done! Where's Crystal tonight?

KrisRose, I am going to do better, too. As you said, though...this thread moves so fast it's hard to keep up. But if I'm in this thread, I'm gonna stop sittin' and start typin'!
How's that Leghorn doin'?...feisty little thing!

Wow. how neat to be able to live there! I love history and you don't find many people who can say they live on their great, great grandparents homestead!

What happened to Lacey?

Her name is Darlene!! She told me when I was holding her tonight, trying to settle her down so she would roost. It worked!! I had wanted to use that name but it just did'nt fit the SLW's. They are too docile for a name like Darlene!!
She is in with my 6 week olds and she is afraid of them

. Two are California White's (also leghorn type) who are just as skittish as she is so I think they will become buds.
