Hi Freebie! Nice to see you back! It sure is a icky day out. Hope it clears out soon! I'm telling you, I'm gonna have to get some ducks. They would love my backyard right now. Don't have to worry about having a pond!

Well sadly i unplugged it this morning, no peeping.
i have to work today so after work i was going to check some of them out and see whats going on inside.

but i really dont know what I'm looking for?

some time this week i will get your incubator back to you just let me know what day works for you. I just have to work today and tomorrow.

the only chick is doing good, today after work I'm going to stop by TSC and hopefully the have some chicks that i can put with her, all i have right now is meat birds, and there a week old, so i have 4 with her, but they grow 2 times as fast, and i dont want them hurting her..

oh the spot on her head is really dark,

she is just to cute.

I could give you a vorwerk bantam chick that hatched this past monday. Then you could say you've gotten her a "little" company.

Thats nice of you, Sam
Yesterday i went to TSC and got 2 bantam, and 2 mystery pullets and 2 mystery straight run, for her.

all there left overs are on sale, i think she said 30 %off

Well Sam I started last night looking at the eggs thinking they should of hatched 2 days ago, i did put some of mine eggs in there also,
so i started candling them to see if i could see any movement or anything, nothing, so i broke 3 open 1 of yours fully formed and wet, 2 of yours not fertilized, just yolk, surprised i didn't smell any thing, well then the 4 th egg one of mine, open it and what do i see a baby peeping at me, and then died a minute later, I'm so mad at my self i felt like this to myself

Darn sorry Laura I know from experience that stinks.

Are you in Livingston County? Seems weird that they would send information about another county home with kids. Her case still isn't confirmed.

All the news folks were in Howell yesterday. Quite the hoop la. I am still wondering what the big deal is with this flu.

I am not either. Folks just need to use some common sense. If you are sick, stay home. It amazes me how many people do go out or drag their kids out when they are sick. Or send their kids to school.

My sister said that it must of been a slow news day to warrant all the news crews into Howell! They weren't far from Opa. Maybe a chicken story would of been better:lol:

Hi everyone!!

I am so sick of the rain too, Myrna, I feel your pain! I am disgusted by the water and mud! We are all clay here, so the mud is horrendous and also a low spot, I hate it!! Let us know if we can help, I am getting good at dealing with this stuff!!

Hello everybody! Trying MJ's Amish bread recipe. Hope it turns out!

Myrna, sorry for your losses and don't give up! I know that it must be very frustrating! Just smile and know that brighter days are ahead.

hello fellow michi ganders

live between cadillac and traverse city, counselor by day, small time farm girl for sanity. chickens, ducks, horses, new baby just the other day, couple of pigs, waiting on new peacocks, pheasants, and looking for sebastopol geese. very tempted on fantail pigeons, they are absolutely beautiful.

no kiddees, no hubby, just me and some shih tzu bed hogs

Thanks ever so much for the offers to help and prayers!

I live north of Ionia just 7 miles out. Our one son said he will try to help his Dad come up with something. We have never had water like this.

I just got so depressed when I saw all those young chicks dead and floating in the water. They had been doing so good , running around growing so pretty. Since I am on unemployment extension, we do not have a lot of money to buy stuff to make another coop.

Sorry about venting to you all. God willing, we will all get through this stuff and do alright. God never did say our life on earth would be perfect. Sometimes I just get over run with all the bad things and forget to be grateful for the good ones.

My little pup climbed on my lap to remind me.
God Bless you all and thanks. We just got the news about the flu spreading, prayers for them all.
