What are you talkin' about? All the folks on here are starting to seem like family, plus you've got a OPA.

Aww.. Thanks Opa.

You are right, I guess Chickenstock will be a "family reunion" of sorts. I do look forward to meeting everyone!

I've got a couple of hens that are insisting on sitting in their nesting boxes all day and all night - Don't have experience here but suspect they are "broody" - So here's my question - and do so appreciate everyone's input! If I can get them some fertalized eggs they'll be happy and hatch some chicks for me??? I don't have rooster, but would sooo like to have this experience! Thanks everyone!

I don't think you need to be concerned. But I am not an expert either. Going by memory, which isn't that good

, my kids had a black japanese bantam hatch out a brood and she stayed in the coop with all the other chickens without any problem.

Thanks Opa - I work here at MSU and MJ told me I could get some fertilized eggs from the Poultry Research Center - Now if only I could get them to answer their phone! Hey Opa, I'm going to try and make the get together in August!
