Nice ducks!
Maybe it was returned? Once I had a friend that took a 20 from my purse, I left her in the car when I went and paid for gas. I realized right away it was missing and panicked thinking I lost it or something. Later that day I found a 20 lying on the back floorboard of my car. Something just was not right about that. 20 dollar bills just don't fly from a purse in the front seat to the back floorboard on their own. I later found out that this person had problems with money.

I wanted to share a photo of the kinds of eggs I am getting. The white one is our very last store bought egg. The largest was a big double yolk egg.
Also, I was wondering if anyone else has this problem: one of our hens refuses to "lay" her egg, instead she drops it from the roost onto the floor. This has been going on for about a week now.

Hello everyone! The sun is finally out. It looks like a dreary morning is becoming a beautiful day.

I am suffering rooster overload. It pains me to take time away from my business and kids to handle this. I have an Australorp & a PQ Silkie that need to go "right now." I also have a number of Silkies from a show flock, but I know I can sell those at FowlFest. If my posts on Craigslist & BestFarmBuys don't pan out, I might have to find an auction or something.

Any ideas for Mid-Michigan rooster rehoming?

Thanks!

How about this rain?

I know, we need it, but can't it just rain at night? What is wrong with that?

Anyone hear of a bladder tumor in dogs? My mom's dog was just diagnosed with one. Evidently it is uncommon, usually non operable (her case is too) drugs can help shrink the tumor, but prognosis is poor and the vets are giving her less than a year.

She is a fat, little yorkie girl, spoiled rotten, rescued from a kennel situation. So sad.

My new girls lay theres in front of the coop door and the others hide theres in the nesting boxes and they are hard to find. They are so small I have 2 banty hens and not sure how big those are but they probably will not be easy to find.

We need the rain. The only bad thing is I can't put the kids outside to play. Last week I got 6 eggs and we ate them for breakfast over the weekend. This week I got a dozen so far. My first full dozen in a carton.

Isnt it wonderful? To me collecting eggs is like finding presents. Especially when the newest ones start laying.

CONGRATS on your first dozen!

I have 22 Isa/Araucanas egss and 6 Std Blue Cochin eggs to put in my new incubator today. Im so excited about hatching my own for the first time in over 35 yrs. Last time I hatched 2 ducks and 2 chicks in a 10 gallon fish tank with a small lamp. Boy was that fun until parents didnt know what to do with them, with us living in the city. LOL Its a science project and a great learning experience I'll never forget in my lifetime.
