Laura, it kills me to pay that much for name brand clothes too. It's always nice to find good deals like that. The last year that my youngest was in school we just gave him a set amount and his oldest brother took him shopping. It was so much easier. And I am not one bit embarrased to say that I find all my name brand clothes at Goodwill. It's amazing what you can find there, so now it is my favorite place to shop. Just a note, I don't usually worry about name brands for myself, if it fits, is comfortable and looks decent then that is what is important.

I saw online a minute ago someone that had a large heated dog bowl that they used and set inside the 1 gal plastic waterer... I wonder if mine would fit in the heated bowl???? I may check that tonight when I get home. If it fits and doesn't look like it will tip over I might try that for S&Gs right now to see if it works.

I use the deep litter method in the coop and would be paranoid I'd burn my coop to the ground with the cinder block and the light bulb so close to the shavings. I'm such a clutz!!!! Otherwise I would try that Jason.

Clothes heck we gave the set amount of 100.00 each to are kids and that is it make it last.

My daughter bought 1 shirt, makeup(which we buy for her anyway), shorts(and winter is coming), purse, wallet, and socks. I was like wow and what is going on your butt.

Son shoes, 2 prs pants, 3 shirts, and 25.00 left over. He goes to goodwill and tells us to keep the rest that is all he needs.

Girls are going to be the death of me.

We just donated a ton of kids toys to the Goodwill. Wanted to run in there and check things out but didn't have time. I thought that would be a great place to get the kids jeans and such.... since they grow so darned fast too!

I always tell people that God knew what he was doing when he didn't give me any daughters. What with me not being a "girly girl" and I can't stand drama, it's a good thing that I don't have daughters. Two neices are enough for me.

I am always amazed that there are so many people shopping there, the parking lot seems like it is always full. Seems like the secret has gotten out.

Wow time flies when you are having fun or rather when you are on BYC! I must tear myself away and get some canning, laundry, and housework done. Ya'll have a great day!

Hello fellow Michiganders. I've been lurking for a while, and thought it was high time to introduce myself. I'm Natalie from Howell.

I just got Chicks this Spring so am pretty new to the hobby. I have one EE Rooster, and 6 hens: EE, RIR, BO, 2 BAs, and a white rock. They just started laying about a month ago. We are getting 4-6 eggs a day now. Yay!

I need to get some more recent pictures, but here is my setup. I've since added a sun shade...

Just thought I'd say "Hi".
