You can also add juice from the store to the berries to make the jam. I do this with my strawberries, I buy the cheap juice and it make a bigger batch and you really don't taste much difference.

is very good!!!
You could do Rasberry/??? what other flavors does your family like.
This way you might not run out before the berries are back next year.

I never thought about using juice from the store. What do you use---100% juice like Juicy Juice? Then just follow the recipe from your package of Sure-Jel. I am curious about this.

Oh-------and good morning. I just realized I was the first post this morning. I am having my coffee and watching my husband try and get the kids up. I need to run him to Lapeer to pick up some equipment he bought. Oh--and thanks for the prayers. He has a job putting in a driveway. It's a little job, but a job none the less. Please keep up the prayers for more work-----we may be bidding some larger projects. Work=$$$=happy blueberrylu

Good morning everyone! Just checking in before I go to work. About the dentist / floss thing - I don't floss regularly either and they are always like "your teeth are just great, keep it up" Does it even pay to floss?
Crystal - my prayers for your BF's dad

What doe everyone have planned for the weekend? We are getting together wit hfriends and family for a 3 day weekend at camp. Haven't been there all summer other then an afternoon here and there. FIL put a pond in over summer and the kids are dying to go swimming! Which is strange since we are 2 minutes from the beaches on Lake Michigan.

sorry so long

Morning everyone. Seems like forever since I have had a spare minute. Things have settled a bit. No plans for the weekend. I think Hotwings is coming out on Saturday. And my daughter is coming home from MSU for the weekend. I know she has only been gone 2 weeks, but her birthday is on Sunday. So, it should be a great weekend.
I hope everyone is doing well, and everyone have a wonderful day!!!

Good Morning!

Cititalk: Prayers for your BF dad. Hope it isn't too serious.

MJ- I flossed last night...had corn on the cob

I floss more in the summer with eating corn on the cob than the rest of the year!

Good morning everyone! I always hated flossing and never did it either! That was until I picked up a bag of those disposable flossing thingamajiggers. Now I do it on my way home in my car everyday. I know, it sounds gross but it works!

Had a question for all us Michiganders... now that we're getting closer to winter what does everyone do to prevent their chicken's water from freezing? In the past I've just used those heated dog bowls but they get so dirty so fast. Wondering if there is a better approach that may actually work.

Last winter I used a couple of 3 gal heated waterers that I bought from Cutler Supply. Once I got the hang of inverting them they worked great. I did get wet a time or two until I mastered it. I would suggest getting one now and practice. Not hardly so as much "fun" as getting wet in freezing weather but is is smarter.

I hate to floss but the new flossers are nice when you have to chew on something.

Beside's is there anyone who is interested in some Buff orpington roosters, I also have a few one yr old hens.

I need to do this to down size I thought that I would ask before I call the amish to butcher.

I really dont want to down size but funds are short at this time and will have to pick up were I left off at a later date.

The waterers I used are plastic and the heater is built into the base. You just plug in extention cord into it. It can be used hanging or sitting on the ground.
Anyone who wants to add to their flock should seriously consider Hillbilly Rooster's offer. He has some beautiful healthy birds.
