Zephyrcreek, my middle son had to swallow one of those camera capsules a couple years ago. He had been having some episodes and had lots of tests done. It took 4 years before they finally found out what was wrong. He would go up to a year between episodes and they could not do any testing unless he was activly bleeding. He had meckels diverticulium, something he was born with and it was corrected by surgery. he is fine now. I hope that they are able to find out what is wrong and that you will be feeling much better soon.

Good evening everyone. We will be at the Relay for life tomorrow in Milan. Anyone in the area stop by Wilson Park on Wabash Rd. There are things for the whole family to do and see. And all the money you might spend goes to a good cause. Just being there for the servivor[ told you I can't spell] walk and at nightfall for the lighting of the luminaries is really amazing. A lot of work goes into putting it on. Belive me I know the co-chair is a cousin. We get volenteered for a lot.

Good Morning!

Rachel lost one of her chicks. The board she has holding the light fell in the stock tank and smooched one of the chicks. I am figuring one of the free ranging hens flew up on the board and it fell into the tank. Too bad it wasn't the one with the crossed beak

Got to go and get ready for a picinic at noon.

Well Last night about 11:00 i went out side, and i heard Raccoons, got my flash light and 4 of them were up in the trees

, they were just coming down, i was flashing the light at them and it made them go back in trees, wish i had a Beebe gun, not sure how long they stand up, i was out there for about 20 mins and they wouldn't come down,

Question if I may?

I have 5 Isa hens that are spring 2008 hatch. They lay at least 3-5 eggs a day. Well starting last week I left them out over night free range and the next day one of my hens was droopy and died the day after. Now Im not getting any eggs at all for 5 days now. They are not molting and act fine otherwise.

Is there any weeds/plants that are toxic to chickens and where it can make them stop laying?

Or is there some virus/disease that can cause them to stop?

Im stumped and its starting to worry me.

Woke up aroung 3 am to barking coons in the oak tree. My dog is not any help. The baby coons are big coons now.

Funny thing is at 3 am waking my son up both of us in cowboy boots, underbritches, shot guns and flashlights.

Chickens are fine. Was hard to get back to sleep and then get up so that I could go watch football game in Portland, MI.

I'd say only in Michigan, but I'm sure the scene is repeated wherever there are raccoons and chickens. In equation form, raccoons + chickens = boots+flashlights+underwear+shotguns.
